Sorry for your loss, Hal.

It definitely seems as if he lived a complete and fulfilling life.

Aneros Josh 04-03-2007 10:32 AM

I'm sorry to hear about yours and the rest of the world's loss of a genuinely great human being. Although I never met him in person, simply watching his videos shed a whole new light on the relationship that I have with my grandparents and inspired me enjoy every minute of my own life with those that are close to me.

OzMan 04-03-2007 10:34 AM

Hal, even though I haven't met you, you are one of the very few people I feel confident in saying I am not sorry for your loss without causing you offense because there is no loss only change.

We are spiritual beings having a human experience and boy your Grandpa sure made good use of his time here by the sound of it. Thank you for sharing some of his life with so many people. Living an inspired life is indeed contagious!

My thoughts are with you to get through this difficult time of not being able to see him with your physical eyes anymore but rest assured he will continue to provide positive guidance in your life, only now he will be able to do so much more effectively from his better vantage point where he can see the "big picture".
:thumbsup

Alex 04-03-2007 10:43 AM

You have my best wishes.

Kimmykim 04-03-2007 10:56 AM

Grandpa Caleb's transition from one life to the next is just as well done as his love of this life when he had it. I'm so glad that you were able to be with him when it was time for him to go. What a phenomenal person he was and what an amazing amount of good memories he has given you to remember him.

yeah he could have been a successful mature model or actor - he's from Central Casting for all American dad/grandad. Also would have made a really good television evangelist. weird, you posted a pic of him from 40 years ago and he looks like a guy who looked better as an older man than middle aged one.

MaLayLaH 04-03-2007 10:41 PM

I'm sooo sorry to hear this. :(

milambur 04-04-2007 12:12 AM

Sounds like a great man that has passed away, if there is a god I believe he will greet him with open arms. R.I.P. Caleb.

Scott McD 04-04-2007 03:51 AM

I didn't know him, never met him, but i know enough about him to know he was a great guy, and will be missed by many.

The world would be a better place if many more like him were around.

God bless...

Yanks_Todd 04-04-2007 05:46 AM

Sorry for your lose bro, much love from Billie and I.

Evil E 04-04-2007 05:52 AM

Bless him. I'm sure he's well where he's at right now.

I somehow envied the relationship you have with your Grandpa, even if I don't know much about it. It seems like you guys really connected and had spend time together just having great time.

Madame0120 04-04-2007 05:57 AM

I was very sad to hear of G Pa's passing, but felt honored I got to know him through Hug Nation. I made him a HUGGABLE button, that I had hoped to give you in Phoenix, but I will place it where I plant flowers for the butterflies.

Our hearfelt sympathies to you and yours. He was a fine and gracious man.

But I should clarify that I am not distraught.
There is nothing tragic about the passing of a 94 year old. I held his hand as he left this plane. It was as beautiful a life and death as a soul could hope for.

I feel amazingly blessed.
Thanks for the love.

Hal, first of all hugs and love! Caleb is an amazing man and he can look down on you and all your greatness for ever now. You brought this incredible man into our lives and touched all of our hearts. I'm glad you could be with him when he took his last breath as this brings great peace to ones heart and soul. I look forward to hearing and seeing many more great things about the man we've all grown to love and call Grandpa. Hugs to you and Caleb.

Last night after the tornados ..... the moon was so full and unusually bright here in Arkansas.. It was totally dark except for the moon and it has colored rings around it.. red, blue, yellow.. it was so beautiful.. It made me think of your grandpa :-)

Lia19 04-04-2007 09:49 AM

Hey Hal, sorry for your loss I watched some of your newest videos dedicated to your grandpa in his final hours and afterwards. I can only wish to grow and live a life as full and complete as Grandpa Caleb did, or have a grandson as loving as you. I'm sure his memory will be an inspiration to many for a long time to come. Thanks for sharing your moments together with him as they've been entertaining, heartfelt, and just overall inspiring.

miss_twisted 04-09-2007 09:00 PM

It's amazing how a person you have never met can touch you.

What a great inspiration to us all... Thank you Hal for bringing such a great person into all of our lives.
