If you wanna be close to hollywood but avoid a lot of the dinginess, beverly hills. Outside of the parking situation, I love it. Its beautiful and clean and safe. Its probably a little pretentious but you take what you want out of it.

West hollywood is fag land. Downtown is a shithole. Beverly hills, Santa Monica and Malibu are ridiculously overpriced.
Go to Windsor Square/Larchmont Village, right near Hancock Park. Tons of mini mansions for under 2 million. Hollywood, downtown, and west LA are all within minutes. The neighborhoods are awesome. |

You can rent a 2bdrm in Beverly Hills from anywhere btwn $2100 - $2600. In Santa Monica, if you want to be closer to the beach, you are looking for more like $2700 - $3000 and up. For the beverly hills price you would have to be further inland.

Hermosa Beach.
But, I'm a beach girl. If I couldn't live at the beach...I wouldn't live in California.

the down side with living at the beach is the parking and traffic situation. weekends are a nightmare if you want to drive anywhere and your guests will always have problems parking.
as i stated before, park la brea is prolly one of the best places to live.

I moved from San Diego to Chatsworth last year-
I HATE THE VALLEY I can't wait for my lease to be up so I can go back south. The earthquake last night made my mind up- As if all the nasty whores and vampires weren't bad enough up here, now I have to deal with quakes and stare at nothing but business parks and asphalt. I am a moron for moving here. The good thing is Airek is my neighbor- so that makes us TWO morons from SD that moved up here lol |
