Does your Bank put a hold on your Nasty Dollars checks?

03/28/07 $1,617.90 Insufficient Funds At Inquiry Time 04/12/07

Every time I deposit checks form Nasty Dollars this happens. But then when I ask Nasty Dollars they say the checks were cashed just fine on the date I deposited them (or the next business day when the transaction goes through).

Then I have to walk into a bank and let the teller know that this transaction went through just fine and then tell the bank manager that I have never had a bounced check, nor have I ever deposited a check that could not be paid by the issuer and that I have never had a problem with an RKNetMedia check. And that having a problem with their check would be like having a problem with a Google one. It just ain't going to happen.

Then they release the funds.

I bank with Wells Fargo. Does anyone else have a problem like this or am I the lucky one?

So far so good with my checks from them. never a NSF transaction nor any holds put on the check. I use a Credit Union.

A few years back I got a notice from my bank that they were holding a check I had deposited for up to 10 days. They said they had "good information" that made them believe it would bounce. The check in question was from AFF who have never bounced a check to me (or anyone that I have ever heard of) so I know it is good. I go down there and the manager pulls me aside and says ,"This check is from an adult website company." I say, "yeah, I know." He then replies, "A lot of those types of checks bounce." I start laughing and say," 90% of the checks I deposit are from adult companies and none of them have ever bounced." He just looks at me. I then say, "If if were a check from Amazon.com would you question it?" He says no so I say," You do know that Amazon has never made a profit so the chances of them bouncing a check are higher than this company which makes plenty of profit right?" He just shrugged and said they may hold checks in the future if they think they are bad.

I left that bank about 2 weeks later and when I wanted to close my savings account all of a sudden they seemed to want the smut money that they didn't want a few a weeks before.

Exactly... Even though that says they were NSF at the time of inquiry, in reality the money was transferred without a hitch.

So it makes no sense... Except for maybe what Kane is saying.

Ohh.. and two more for different accounts went through without any problems. Same as the last time too.

This is why I stick with Money Mart when I cash my checks. Sure, they take about 3% but at least they don't judge me and I always get my cash right then and there...

BofA (when i used them) use to get weird about ND checks. same with BBO they said there was a hold on the check or something like that. Every time I tried to cash/deposit a ND/BBO check that happened.

So far BofA is the only bank I've used that gave me lip about their checks.

My bank used to cash checks right away and for a ridiculously low ~$1 fee but after some years they figured out the "nature of the biz" I guess and from there it all went downhill.

Now it takes weeks before they clear (any of) my checks, and a hefty $50+ fee per check. That's why it is so ridiculous that some sponsors (very few ones but still) write a huge ass porn URL all over their checks.

My bank clears any checks for me same day up to 5K. If I go in and put the check through the manager she will clear any check for me over that amount.

I've found that things like that are usually the fault of a dumbass bank employee. And Wells Fargo has plenty of them, I've experienced it first hand.

Try speaking to the bank manager about it. I had a WF bank manager that used to take such good care of me, they should do the same for you. If not, switch banks.

Yep every check I try to deposit from them comes back insufficient funds but it will usually clear the 2nd time.

Banks make money on "the float". If they have the right to hold funds for 10 days, they will. They invest the float and bring in some pretty impressive money from that every year.

I would suggest that you might want to find a bank that is a little more friendly.

Well, one of my checks that cashed said, 976PORN.
Another that didn't, JAYJMCGH.

So I don't think they did this because of the memo portion.

But strange that they would do this with 2 checks and another 2 go in without problems.

And it was the same thing last time too. I think it was even the same memo/accounts then too.

I live in Canada and the bank I had dealt with since I was about 12 wanted 20 business day holds on U.S. checks (this was mainstream). I had a small account at another bank and I happened to be in there and asked what hold period it would be, she looked at our account, said we had used them for about 3 months with ZERO problems...she said "we won't hold your U.S. checks" I said "some of them are large, up to 10K each" and she said "I will make a note on your account to immediately clear any U.S. checks up to 10K"

Guess who is my main bank now?

Back in around 1999 or 2000 I did the same thing on another check only I screwed up and put "X-treme Anal" in the pay to section so I got a check that said: pay to the order of: X-treme Anal.

I contacted the sponsor suggested I try to deposit it. So I endorsed it X-treme anal and put it in the atm deposit. The bank never said anything, but I had a feeling I was "the anal guy" to them after that.

That is so true of banks. When we first moved to Czech we had nightmares with the bank we set up with.

They were scared checks from Hustler and PRO would bounce. Both companies are worth more then the bank is.

We changed banks.

Just got word from ND support.

My bank properly received the funds and ND's bank says there was absolutely nothing strange about the transaction. It went through with no flags of any sort. So obviously Wells Fargo is full of shit...

Time to find the bank manager and ask him WTF!

You know... when I used to bank in Marina Del Rey around the corner from Paycom, I never used to have to deal with shit like this. I opened my account with one of their checks and the manager was so happy I had something to do with them. He took care of me, raised the daily withdrawl limits and shit on my ATM card...

My local bank sucks balls... Totally different outlook I guess....

OK... some more news...

It turns out that it is a mixture of two things...

I bounced a check about 6 months ago... Yes.. 6 months ago. It bounced because they put a hold on a $4000 check I deposited but didn't institute the hold until 2 days after I deposited it. So as far as I knew it was in and I could pay a bill or two...

So... because I have bounced "a check" (singular tense) within the year it triggered something...

Part II - Nasty Dollars has some kind of system where they don't leave thousands of dollars sitting in an account wait for someone to "adjust" a check and make $2,000 into $200,000. This system basically means they keep only the amount of the highest check in the account. So if their biggest payout was $50,000 then that is all they keep in the account. But.. and this is a very big BUT, if a check comes in for less than that amount, their bank will then move the funds to pay it from a holding account. So at the time of inquiry the funds were not available however, they will be paid.

Match that with having bounced one single check and you get a hold on the deposit while everyone else is trusted not to fuck over Wells Fargo...

I also learned something else...

Getting your money wired to you is very good. Why? Because it gives you a history of a more certain deposit. This is kinda strange because a wire can be a one time thing. But if you have a history of receiving substantially large wires from the same countries month to month you build a history.

So when you ask for a line of credit they take how much you have been wired in 6 months on accounts that have received wires for more than a year. Meaning if Nasty Dollars wired you your money for a year they look at how much in the last 6 months that equaled and add that to any other sponsor that has wired you for a year.

So if this amount is $200,000 they offer you $100,000 line of credit... If it is $2,000,000 they do $1,000,000.... etc...

And obviously if you asked for a home lone they would automatically approve you for an amount based on a similar system. Only it goes by how much you will make in years.

So... I guess that is what those wire fees buy you, a bank that smokes your cock (or suckles your nipples)...

I get holds put on checks all the time. If I'm lazy and don't go to the bank for a couple of weeks.
It's usually when I make a deposit that's bigger than my usual deposit or that's more than what I currently have in the account.
It usually only lasts a few days and they honor any checks that were presented while the hold was in place, they just don't clear until the hold clears.

My bank BOA always freezes my account when I purchase too many things on-line cause they think its "suspicious". I am so tired of them. It's called "debit protection." I always buy things on-line, I even buy clothes online, shoes, everything. I don't like shopping in stores! Plus all the business expenses like for traffic etc all add up and it always makes my bank freeze my account!

I also think they get suspicious if I deposit large amounts of checks, I'm really lazy so sometimes I will go weeks or even over a month without depositing checks. I always split my deposits so it's less than 10k per deposit, if it's more they will file a suspicious report (SAR) with the government and monitor your account more closely. It also helps from them freezing my account as much...

I always hate getting near one of those trucks cause Im always afraid the kids inside getting 9 bucks an hour are going to accidently shoot themselves in the foot.

Try this approach to finding the right bank!

When I choose a bank for adult related business I look for one with alot of HOT bank tellers and
when you get up to the girl say this.
