I had a small account at another bank and I happened to be in there and asked what hold period it would be, she looked at our account, said we had used them for about 3 months with ZERO problems...she said "we won't hold your U.S. checks" I said "some of them are large, up to 10K each" and she said "I will make a note on your account to immediately clear any U.S. checks up to 10K"
