Sales reps..here's a tip for you

If you have someone asking you for something..dont just refer them to your site to check it out. GO fuckin get it for them...lol

That is part of your job...i cant believe what some sales rep said to me.

asking for something..they say, check out the site....no link no nothing.

just kinda amazed

guess thats what some people are complaining about when they say sales reps are useless

Everything seems so upside down in adult when it comes to customer service. I just can't believe the standards are so low and you just have to accept getting ripped off by designers, get idiotic replies from a sales rep when you ask for something (if you are lucky to get a response at all)...as a normal state of affairs.

Yea some "sales reps" are really useless, all they do is spam the boards and icq, kudos to those that are good and know what it's all about though

Many are useless.
but some will actually....
give out cell #s and answer calls day or night,
Build custom IRFAMES and javascript banners,
photoshop custom banners, graphics and galleries,
buy their clients drinks, dinners and lap-dances
and even get you in to playboy mansion parties.

And - I'm better than so and so, However, in an order provide the best wining and dining to my existing accounts, I'm not taking new clients until after Phoenix Forum :food-smil

I have to admit that I've run into some completely useless reps. On the other hand it makes the good ones stand out even more.

I remember getting exceptional service from Kevin at Twistys. He always answered right away and was actually available via ICQ.

I also got good service from Met-Art and Sapphic Erotica. I'm sure I'm leaving some out but these are the guys I dealt with recently.

I consider myself an excellent sales rep, and I know my affiliates would agree. So I will say thank you to that

And this is not just in the adult world. Customer NO Service seems to be the norm now. Makes you appreciate real customer service from a rep that really wants to help you and themselves.

You have to consider, spending as much time as some people do a day online chatting with affiliates sometimes they get burned out. Not only that but having people who can't send a single hit asking for the sky and producing nothing for YEARS and YEARS can wear. Eventually people give up and make the affiliate do some of the work.

If the rep was expected to do all of the work why wouldn't just start his own tgp and post his own links?

AFFILIATE- I don't know what email i used can u look it up for me

Rep- ok sure

AFFILIATE- So the site isnt live yet but I promise it will be huge. I wanna do it right from the start so can you please make those banners for me.

I think one of the main problems is the actual title of such a person. If he/she is a sales rep, then the title implies him/her simply driving affiliates to the program. Had the title been support rep, then it would've been different. I think many just get stuck on their own title and simply think it's not their job to actually provide affiliates with support. In which case their employers are to blame.

Lets not forget some times the reps hands are tied on some issues. Im not going to say any names but i went over a few reps heads and right to the programs owners and still to this day have not got what i requested or even a response to after talking to the program owners. But i will say that wegcash stepped right up and there support contacts me once a week to see if i need anything and thats the way it should be

Most sales reps have no clue how this business works.. hell, how any business works. A good majority of them have never even ran a website, nor do they know the first thing about it. I know of reps who dont even know how to post links...

And these are supposed to be the people advising and helping me make money off of websites?

not trying to argue with you here bro.. but i think any program who would hire someone who doesn't know about posting a link would be a really bad programs..

i would love to know which programs who would have such reps.

seriously.. ?
