I used a program called Revive31 once (I only know that because I still have the program zipped up on my computer), and it worked well. Do a search on the web, you should be able to find something like that.

I lost all my shit once coz that fucked up program Partition Magic crashed on my while re-partitioning the drive. The only program that worked was EasyRecovery Professional or might have been Fix-it, I'm not sure. But other programs could not find the files.

Try Final Data and Bad Copy Pro. Both work fine but I think Bad Copy is better and it's guarantied to find every deleted file, even those long forgoten files

I was just looking through my install files folder, and I remembered this thread. I had downloaded several file recovery programs when I had lost a directory or something, and the following are the ones I had downloaded:

SuRest
Revive31
Recover98
OnTrack

I think I had used the OnTrack one, which worked well... but I can't really remember.

Hope this helps...

Whenever I see files that I don't know what they are for, or if their names are too long, or if they are too big, I delete them. Then I rely on Microsoft's Restore function to get me back on the road if the system ever stops working for some unknown reason. If that fails to work, I then sue Microsoft.
