Can anyone ecommend some good HTML editors that are free to download that does similar functions as Frontpage ?

Similiar to Front Page, not sure about that but you can try http://www.chami.com/html-kit/

The best free one and a very good one at that.

I use dreamweaver. And I know a few people that have gotten it for free.

Or you can get a nice discount by getting it though a learning institution.

Your goal should be to get something completely different from Frontpage (ie. something that works properly lol)

The best editor is Dreamweaver. End of story. (and its potentially free sshhh)

If you want like frontpage/dreamweaver NVU is the way to go, that along with a good WAMP, setup and you can code / run / test anything you want while online or offline.
