Looks pretty good. I personally prefer a few smaller pics as opposed to one big one. Gives more space for alt tags too.

The RSS feed will do optional sizes.

I've been trying out 200 x 250 on some of my blogs, mpbabes.com do even smaller and still look good.

I dont see any need to give the surfer anything higher res for free

I will be writing a lot more in the next few days and will be getting an RSS feed for it. Will also post a "Picture of the day" that will change every day. That is nearly ready.
