I believe he said he already had a job...

Who knows what happened, it's none of our business to begin with, and jumping to conclusions is silly.

I don't wear pants to mainstream meetings with prospective clients, and if they have a problem with that, then I figure it wasn't going to work out anyway.

thats not true.

i get inquiries all the time from the mainstream sector to build or rebuild networks because the mainstream market knows that much of the technology that they use on the web today started in the adult sector. maybe its jsut that i hang out with the young 20-30 somethings that are running and making decisions in the companies that hire me, but i have found 0 issues with anyone caring about adult. many of them so far have thought its cool.

i'm starting a new project next week for a wealth advisement and estate trust company to redo their entire web presence and internal network and they love it that we are so deeply involved in technology in our area of work. granted my "whiz kids" are going to do most of the work and they are college graduates, but i am the point man and own the new company.

with the adult thing i put it out there right in the front. i think the issue is do you try to hide it and look like you're hiding something or do you know how to "sell" it to the mainstream market? try it out. sell your adult experience from a technology leader angle and watch their eyes light up. i've had no issues with anyone caring whatsoever.

i wont be announcing the mainstream technology company to the adult space. something to fall back on when i get sick of this cesspool of an industry.

:1orglaugh

Amen brotha....Its all in the presentation...

I think they would have let him work naked or wearing a diaper :) But they DID put him in an office 2 floors down from our "control room" that we showed current and prospective clients.

Was it in the Sacramento data center and his name was Dennis?

This was in ATL and I can't remember his name. I could find out if you think it's the same guy. This was back in 87-88ish.

it's hilarious when sigwhores try to interpret "lines on a graph" without putting research into a company and try to understand what causes certain trends.

KrisKross 03-09-2007 10:37 AM

Good luck with your new ventures, Rochard.

I heard Jagermeister is hiring.

You don't need to know what "causes" a trend...If the trend is going DOWN, then there's a problem...You can research until the cows come home but you won't come up with any results that will tell you that a downward trend is good.

And all you need to tell you that a trend is going down is to look at "lines on a graph". That's what graphs are for.
