hahahaha, I already know what you'll do here and how you'll leave here. Hell, I can even take a good guess at what brand fries you'll be cooking after failing here.

Try Valerian root.. it is often used as a natural remedy for restless leg syndrome, it's non-addictive with no side-affects. It smells HORRIBLE even in caplet form, but the smell is worth the relief.

RLS is tough. i know peeps who've had it. he needs to see his MD sooner rather than later. there are some meds for this. sleep on the sofa once he falls asleep. no point in both being sleep deprived. good luck.

oooooh i dunno. i *definitely* know people who make up illnesses or exaggerate symptoms in order to get opiate pain killers like vicoden and/or anxiolytics like xanax, valium, etc. and/or muscle relaxers like soma, flexoral or just to stay on them longer than an original valid illness/injury required them for. sadly it's people like that who make it difficult for people with real disabilities to get medication that may in fact help them. :2 cents:

I almost checked into a local hotel just cuz I needed just one night of solid sleep.

What's weird is he's had this fidgety uncomfortable annoyance for a while now but it wasn't affecting his sleep too much. It seems to be getting worse and we recently found out his dad also has this.

Also the snoring.. the two combined... I'm about to jump off a bridge! We severely need help before everyone has a total breakdown from exhaustion.

He's having this unrestful type of snorning which immediately jerks him awake, and triggers the leg squirming real bad.. then just cycles like that every single minute all night long.

Anyone have this? Are the two worsening each other? Is there anything in the universe that can be done? I'll pay whatever amount of money.. I'll do anything. I don't want to have to sleep in seperate rooms.

It's horribly sad to watch him too cuz even though he's sleeping more than I am, he's not getting even close to the rest that he should be and he's totally wiped out.

:helpme :helpme :helpme

Red, I have restless leg syndrome as well and sadly girl, there is no cure. It's a synapse thing in the brain. I hate it. I feel like I'm going to jump out of my fucking skin when I get it and after 30 mins of it I just get up and stay up half the night until I forget about it. The best a person can do is do a shit load of walking before the night is near and tire the leg muscles and exhaust the brain. Also.. if at any time a person thinks about their affliction it will immediately start happening. The best way is to somehow distract him from thinking about it.. tv or music to fall asleep to is a good start.

panic attacks are not genetic. They're habit formed. I've suffered with them for many years and finally went to 'course' that teaches one how to break the habits that cause panic attacks and habits that turn a minor "weird" feeling into a panic attack.

jonpotz 03-08-2007 08:29 PM

find a doctor that will prescribe him oxycontin...80mg before bedtime should do the trick...

NOTE: See a doctor before trying for mentioned remedy.

I have sleep apnea. I felt like shit everyday for 15 years, I finally complained to the right doctor and he sent me to a sleep clinic. I stopped breathing 45 times an hour which would wake me up. I now sleep with a CPAP machine that has a mask that you wear at night. The pressure from the machine keeps your airway open and allows you to sleep without waking up.

You have two type of sleep apnea. ?Obstructive ?this type requires a CPAP to keep the airways open. Basically, your airway closes and it prevents you from breathing.
?Central? the brain is not functioning correctly and will require meds.

This is a serious condition that will lead to long term health problems, you must seek medical advice.

I just happened to catch an ad on the local New Orleans stations - seems the medicine they have been prescribing for RLS is causing heart valve problems and I must have seen 3 different ads from different law firms wanting to take on "your case" if youve ever taken medication for RLS

You can have panic attacks gentically. Not everyone that has them are genetic carriers, but many people are. There are no courses to learn to deal with panic attacks, unless they are taught by a quack. There are shrinks that teach patients behavorial techniques, but that is not a course. That is called therapy. Please tell me how you can break the habit when doctors do not even know why a person suddenly gets panic attacks. They do not know what triggers them all of a sudden. If doctors can not answer that question, then neither can you.

Sorry but I am not the other two. I post only for me. I think you should be bright enough to see that I do not cuss like the other two. That is not my style, and people that know me could tell you that. Plus plenty of people on here know Buck30(Greg)from Forums. So I am not sure where you are trying to go with that, but we are three seperate people.

Not everyone that suffers from panic disorders have them genetically, but you can be a genetic carrier. Please read below about genetics. You can read more at http://www.athealth.com/Consumer/dis...nih_panic.html I am surprised that a panic attack suffer would not be more informed on the condition he suffers from.

Genetics. Panic disorder runs in families. One study has shown that if one twin in a genetically identical pair has panic disorder, it is likely that the other twin will also. Fraternal, or non-identical twin pairs do not show this high degree of "concordance" with respect to panic disorder. Thus, it appears that some genetic factor, in combination with environment, may be responsible for vulnerability to this condition.

NIMH-supported scientists are studying families in which several individuals have panic disorder. The aim of these studies is to identify the specific gene or genes involved in the condition. Identification of these genes may lead to new approaches for diagnosing and treating panic disorder.

I agree with what you are saying Tassy. I think some people fake an illness or injury to get certain medications. I do not however think it is funny. If you are that desperate to get a drug that you have to fake an illness, then you have an addiction problem. I was more annoyed that they seem to find mental illness and people addicted to drugs funny. Neither are funny conditions and it is pathetic to laugh at people because of them.

Yeah she said that because she has multiple personalities. People with panic attacks do not have that. Plus plenty of people on here know Greg, who is Buck30. They can vouch he is real and not me. I think your problem is you think that you are funny but you really are not. If you keep trying you may get a real sense of humor at some point. There is always hope. :)

Are you retarded? We are not the same people. Jane knows a lot of the people on this forum. She has worked with them. I know a lot of people on the forum as well. I think you need to get a grip on reality pal.
