|
I went to a shitload..
alot of great ones.. Have to say Slayer at Veterans Memorial in Providence, RI was kick ass for their South Of Heaven tour.. what, with all the people playing soccer with a goats head in the bloodied up bathroom... and the pigs in full riot gear for crowd control afterwards :1orglaugh David Lee Roth touring with Poison. I was a guest of Poison because I had a contact at Capitol records who put me down for VIP seats.. Waited til Poison was offstage before going inside the show, lol... I was out back smoking a bone with Dave :thumbsup TNT with Twisted Sister & Great White was a great show at the orpheum in Boston,,, was in the 80s White Zombie in Fitchburg Alice Cooper at Boston Garden.. when it was the garden :) Faster Pussycat opened up,, Saw pussy several times that era.. as well as GNR many times.. Saw Guns & Roses several times before they hit it big... Drank with Axl & Slash at the Living Room in Providence.. a Japanese band opened up EZO-- "Cum on & wok & woll yah"... Much Later, Slash took me & my buddy Arthur through the back stage entrance of the orpheum in Boston to get in free :) WASP @ the orpheum. Monsters of Rock @ Foxboro Stadium.. Van Hagar, Metallica, Scorpions & Dokken. Fucking scorpions fucking rocked.. I was so fucking baked.. Ozzy with Vixen at Providence Civic Center.. snuck in via the garage underneath, then climed a ladder, then into a vent then out on a catwalk & stayed high up in the rafters til the show started... Greatful Dead @ Inglewood Forum.. crashed a Lakers game the night before.. never been so fucking wasted my whole life.. what a strange trip. Clannad @ Somerville, MA.. ethereal & enchanting.. gave me goose bumps. Met the whole band before the show while they were doing an in store perfomance at Tower Records & Maire Brennan asked me if I went to last nights show & I said I would love to have gone, but didn't know they were playing.. bought a CD & got it autographed, then she told me the store was holding a raffle for tickets to tonights show, & wow.. I won the tickets :) Met the band after the show & chatted for while, got pics, autographed tour books,, was fucking fun. Oh, so many more.. |
Well, here's my list:
The Grateful Dead (Oakland Colleseum 1995) The Grateful Dead w/ The Dave Mathews Band (Las Vegas, NV 1995) - last show Jerry Garcia played on the west coast. The Steve Miller Band w/ The Doobie Brothers (Devore, California 1997) Paul van Dyk w/ Markus Schulz (Monster Massive, LA Colleseum 2005) Paul van Dyk w/ Armin van Buuren (Monster Massive, LA Colleseum 2006) |
Bruce in the 80s--3 Hours non-stop. Born in the U-S-A, I was born in the U-S-A!
Stones--several times in the 80s and 90s U2--several times in the 90s and 00s...great sound and always great stage show Santana--70s, 80s and 90s...just great energy, great guitar artist Bob Seger--70s Billy Joel--80s and 90s Elton John--80s and 90s But I think my all time favorite shows were Prince concerts. I've seen him three times and the guy just has such a commanding presence and he rocks the house. If anyone that hasn't seen him before and caught the Super Bowl halftime show, you caught a glimpse of this guy's artistry. |

Going way back, it would have to be Pat Travers Band, UFO, Blue Oyster Cult and Cheap Trick. Front row, it was awesome.
Recently, there is an awesome little outdoor venue (about 1500 seats with full bar) a few miles from my house called The Backyard. Saw Jewel open for Rob Thomas and it was a pretty great show. Again, front row and Jewel was wearing a mini skirt on an elevated stage. Lightspeed would have been in a hypnotic trance. Oh, Rob was wearing pants. |
Brand New in Southampton. One of the support bands was out with illness so they played a longer set.

Rob Zombie opening for Korn
