hah, i used to joke about having an AA group for Chapstick users, the stuff is so damned addictive to your lips, you even have a withdrawl symptom, namely peeling lips...if you really want to stop using it you just have to quit and wait for the painful part of ripping your lips up to go away. otherwise, if you're interested in something slightly less addictive, try a natural form of lip balm like burt's beeswax or some such thing.

honestly, stop using it. I stopped years ago and it sucked at first, but now I never need it and my lips are great, doesn't matter if I am outside in on a windy as hell -30 day...they are still good to go.

Cold turkey. Your lips will suffer for a week or two but then they will be fine. I use to have quite the "addiction" too. Always had a Chapstick in my pocket, beside the bed, the bathroom, the car....etc.

Get Blistex medicated balm, apply before going to bed while at the same time throw away chapstick. Wake up and you are good to go. Do NOT apply more Blistex after this.

switch over to Vaseline Lip Therapy ? introduced in the UK in small round tins and in the US in small tubes, this Vaseline product helps to protect lips from the drying effects of wind and cold weather.

Look at it this way. When you`ll carry Vaseline on you, you'll be ready for anything that may rise up during the course of the day meeting new people. Just don't bend over to pick up the tube in case it falls on the floor for some odd reason

It might sound gross, but it will work trust me. Take your chapstick, take the lid off, and get Gabe to bend over. Pull down his britches, and give his bunger a little swipe.

You'll never stick that thing back on your lips again. And TRUST ME, if you do.. you'll never do AFTER that.

It only takes one time of rubbing an assed chapstick on your lips to learn your lesson and break you of a bad habit.
