No. Jesus is pure fiction.

Actually when you look at all the historical facts and the stories, lots of them have actually happened.

Interesting that no one in here said "I think this *IS* the "real Jesus" they have found. No believers?

Anything that restricts you from self-actualisation is bad, but I am really glad that the people who follow realigion actually then try to keep to the code. It would be more dangerous over here if that bunch would have the ability of "individual thinking" Amen.

I belive that there is *some* possibility that these remains are that of JC and his family but there's also some evidence to suggest that ....

A. After JC's death Mary Magdelane, ( who was undoubtedly the wife of JC ),fled to the south of France

B. JC's uncle, Joseph of Aramathea, fled to England with JC's son shortly after his death

C. The Templars found JC's remains in the middle ages and brought them back to Europe with them, ( again the south of France figures in this theory ).

So for now I belive that this find is just another possibility and untill it can be proven beyond reasonable doubt it should be treat as such.

Yes, very true.

If you ever fancy digging a little deeper into the life of JC get yourself a copy of Jesus - the last of the pharos by Ralph Ellis as a good starting point. :thumbsup

I think that Jesus existed.. I do. But I believe in those times he was blown all out of context...they figured a guy who could do more than most was something really amazing...but then in those days they probably didn't think space travel was possible.
I think Heaven is a place people fantasize about cos they are afraid that when you die there is nothing else. Nothing. Just blackness and nothingness. But hey, what the hell do I know, I haven't died yet. I could be wrong.
I believe in science though. I don't believe that when we all die we go to some amazing beautiful place called heaven. I believe we dont know anything when we die just like we dont know anything before we were even born.
Just my two cents. People want to think when we die everything is perfect and wonderful. I mean, how many believe that those suicide bombers live in paradise with Allah?

Whatever you think or believe it doesnt matter because Jesus is greater and more powerful than any of us, whether he be mere mortal or not is not the question he still shapes this planet this very day.

I believe he was a real man just like Santa was based off of a real man. I'm not Catholic though, I do enjoy Christmas though. :)
