cool engine, interior, brakes...etc...i dont like the suicide doors
the new rotary miata and the new rx7 will be on the same chasis. ive never liked the miata from a personal stand point. but, i think id buy a rotary miata. 2100 pounds and 250hp...cha-ching sadly, the car wont be out until late next year leaving the wrx sti, the evo8 and the 350z a huge jump on it. the good news is that mazda will be exporting the engines out at the end of the year to a few top rx7 tuners so they'll have turbo kits out when the car comes rolling into town

I love to see/hear a rotary engine. I know how they work, and they rock. I wish more vehicles had them. I guess they are too much of gas guzzlers to be of wide spread use...

Nice, I once had a rx7. Had it up to 155 mph on the highway once. Rotary engines kick ass.

Anyway, you meant fuel efficency, and it's not fuel efficent because of the same reasons a 2-stroke engine is less efficent than a 4; there are more fires of the spark plugs per rotation of the shafts. It makes it more powerful, but less fuel efficent. But, I thought that per spark plug fire rotary engines would be more efficient than piston engines. In other words, if you consume the same amount of gas for both types (or all 3 types) of engines, wouldn't the rotary be the most powerful? I know that there's less force required, since it doesn't have to top and accelerate the pistons, so it should leave more power to eventually reach the wheels. |

juge is pretty much right. the rotary fires as much as a v6
twice per stroke... the great thing about the rotary is the rpms and the weight. its only 69 cubic inches and weighs around 200 pounds. this allows it to be one of the only engines to be placed between the front tower strut and the firewall in a production car
