content providers

I have been building tons of galleries, and designs, and many people looking for work want me to supply the content. My question to you providers...who provides content that can be used for galleries and given out to affiliates so they can use it when they build galleries.
my icq is below or check my design site for my email
thanks,
-rosey

not many... b/c if you give our content out for free.. why would anyone else buy it from us content providers??? most likely you will need to find some images and buy them outright.. or set up some custom shoots... feel free to e-mail me for details...

I give out my content for free... to promote my sites. What else would my content be good for promoting? If the content isn't in the site you're selling them on to, isn't that false advertising? If not, then it must be a pretty soft sell... "Here's come pictures, and here's a banner"...

Rosey, are you talking about galleries within sites or TGP galleries? Few content providers are terribly happy about selling content to people who turn around and give it away. It's the old "why buy the cow when the milk is free" syndrome.

sorry for all the confusion. I am doing work for paysites. These paysites want photos to give to affiliates to promote their site. They also want content for me to use in the galleries. How would i go about finding this for them? Is exclusive content the only way to go? or is there ways that this could be done.
please let me know
rosey

For most content providers, exclusive will be the preferred way. Semi-exclusive is another way, if you can find a couple other people to share the expense. The content provider will probably jack the price up a tad, you and two or three other operators (and no one else) get it at somewhat less than full exclusive price, and everybody wins!

Is this content for the paysites, or just the people who promote the paysites? I assume that you'd only promote a site with that site's content... In which case, what you are asking for us unlimited resale rights, isn't it? (The sale price being Zero in the case of the affiliates.)

exactally...the content would be in their site as well as allowing affiliates to use the content in their galleries to only promote the site they got the pics from. The affiliates would not be able to use the content for any other sites

So... The site buys the content. They get a normal license for their sites. They also get a "re-sale" license that is limited to one site per sale.

I don't think there is anything in that to restrict it enough that a content provider would treat it any differently from "unlimited resale", though others may disagree.

I would think more people would go for something less unlimited... Like a discount for buying the same set more than once (to pass on to an affiliate) or offering a discount for all affiliates. I'd go for either of those, for sure.

For truly unlimited, from my point of view, I'd want to see $$$. You have to make it worth it to give up unlimited rights, especialyl unlimited rights that you know are going to get used, since they are giving it away for free.

Bargain content houses will probably differ with me on this. Maybe some of the premium providers on here will too, come to think of it-- I just don't know how, in their case.

It would be like any of the big sites....they give people free content to promote their sites. I have customers just starting that need content to give to people to promote the site...sorry this is becomming confusing.

No, no. I getcha. It's just that I bet most of the people who are giving away content, own that content outright. I, for instance, give away content to promote my sites all the time. If you have to buy your content, you're not in as good a position to do that.

On a related note, I'm having a sale this week... If you think some of my content might work for this deal, ICQ me and I will see if I can make you a quote that works for you.

Anyone out there think they know what licence like this would be worth? (Preferably compared to what normal license costs.)

Hi,

I dont know of any content providers that will let you have sets to give to affiliates unless you are buying them exclusive.

You may find some providers with older content that are now budget sets that may allow that.

The problem is that when a paysite starts giving out the content it becomes quickly saturated.

Most of the content providers here (me included) are happy doing exclusive for you. Unseen mentioned shared exclusive but I find organising that is hard if you want to give it to affiliates to use as the others will be worried about saturation.

Another option to reduce the costs would be to buy custom content with a license to let you give it to affiliates, but see if the provider wants to retain resale rights as well, they may be interested as they could use the content in compilations, cheaper sets etc.

Hope that helps.

Jayson, thanks for the idea...ok im looking for custom content that would allow affiliates to use to promote a site. The content provider will also allow to resale the rights as well...any takers please hit me up on icq.

We have two licenses for our content.

One
On the normal sets, you can give 20 images to affiliates to promote the site where the full set is being displayed.

Two
On the "Budget Sets" you can give away the whole set to use it promote your sites. These sets are used pretty heavily for this, but at $5-10 no one complains.

The only thing you cannot do is resell the set, at the prices listed. If you want to do that hit me up on ICQ We may be able to deal on this it depends on the price.
