looking to upgrade 56k connection advice please

is there any way to connect 2 56k modems together

That way i would have a fat pipe then

ISDN is infinitely more reliable than a DSL

I think it's only possible to combine two ISDN lines to a 128kbps connection and not two 56k analog modems.
If you like old technics, what about an acoustic coupler? It looks quite cool when you show it to your girlfriend and you get 300 baud or something.
