Anyone here use NutriSystem?

I am getting fat, and I don't know how to cook healthy. Nutrisystem seems like a good deal for about 10$/day for breakfast, lunch, dinner.

anyone here try their food? any good? did you drop any weight?

I've had some of it because I tried it at a friend's house -- it's pretty gross. You can try it, but after a few days I'm not sure you'd particularly enjoy it anymore. Cooking healthy is easier and tastes better (even if you don't know how!).

I've never used it, but I've looked into it before...mainly cuz I'm too lazy to want to cook my own food Haha. But it seemed like too much work...you still have to buy and cook and portion out all the meat and veggies on your own. Cooking my own food is less work

I thought it was interesting, but you will still need to workout to make it work. If you buy goto My Diet site and order it

There is also a system called the Zone Diet. They have a best selling book about it on Amazon. They deliver meals to your house, and I believe they taste better than the Nutrisystem program.

Another option is a personal nutritionist. If you call a major gym they can typically give you a referral. A nutritionist will show up at your office and set up a program for you. They cost around $100 per meeting and after 3 meetings your diet should be in good shape. This is what I did and lost 25 lbs. and kept it off for 12 months now. One of the things they do recommend is oatmeal as shekinah suggested.

I've done them all over the years, including Nutrisystem way way back and even Zone home delivery about 5 years ago. What finally worked for me to get the last of what I wanted gone was good ole tracking the calories and increasing the exercise. With pretty much anything else, I found that I was on a diet that I would eventually go off of and gain weight back. It took a complete lifestyle change to make things stick. Now it's something I can live with, not something I go off of.
