I'm surprised it's only happening now; I figured they would have been doing it for years. I wrote a very simple search engine back in 1999 (using mainly 'sh' scripts
 ) and the results were (slightly) biased by previous searches. I wanted to take it further and also bias the results based on clicks, but that was a little too complex for the sticky tape and bandaids scripting I was using... |
