Enom sucks just as much as Registerfly

Ok so I've been slowly moving my domains that were at registerfly away from them and over to Moniker. I received the letter from Enom stating that I could transfer my domains I had with registerfly over to them for free.

So hell free is great right? So I try to give it a shot to save a few bucks. Well I signed up and I get a message telling me that I have too many domains and they can't transfer them for me until I contact them. So I'm like ok no biggie and try to call them. Fucking wait times are anywhere for 45 mins to 1 hour and 45 mins.

So I figure I'll try the support e-mail that was also in the message.. Sent two of them the first on 2/6/07 and the second last Fri.. Neither has been answered to this day. So I'm like ok I'll try the support ticket system. I made a ticket think it was yesterday morning and I get nothing today, so I decide to go check it out. It's been fucking deleted.

For those of you that switched to Enom I sure hope you never need any help with anything because I believe you went from one POS registrar to another. Enom sucks ass just as much as Registerfly.

Oh and the best part is I have 14 domains up for renewal in the next few days with registerfly but I can't fucking transfer them, because the whois has been blanked out and every time I try to re-add it, it gives me a error. So I called registerfly and it must have been a act of God because I got someone on the phone within 5 mins. Of course they give me some BS excuse about their "system" is down and will be back up in a day or two.. Then they claim it's because the domains are still with Enom and Enom is holding them hostage so I can't update the whois because of that.

So I just wanted to let everyone know ENOM sucks ass just as much as Registeryfly does.. Fuck them both because I'm pissed.

of course they suck.

all these domain registrars operate on such small profit margins that it's fiscally impossible for them provide any level of decent support.

me personally, i keep my domains at theplanet...which also happens to be my webhost. whenever there are problems, they are at risk of losing a lot more if they don't rectify things

Fuck do these assholes suck ass.. Finally got a response from Enom on my support ticket. All the fucking assholes did was to close the ticket with a response to call support.

Fucking assholes.

They have locked me out of the ability to change any of the domains I still had with Registryfly that were still registered with enom. So I've been trying to transfer them every since I receive the letter from Enom. Yet the fucking assholes wont answer the damn phone.

If I had a gun I'd go shoot the useless bastards I'm so pissed right now. I think Registerfly and Enom are competing for the most fucked up useless piece of shit registry award.

Oh and how the hell is it, no matter when you try to call Enom, the "estimated wait time on hold" is 45 minutes? So I finally gave up trying to get in touch with them so I tried to renew names that are expiring to-fucking-day and what do I get? "Bad password or user name" error because I'm' locked out of my domains from Enom..

Fuck these assholes can I say that again? I'm extremely pissed off right now. This is a warning to all you that thought you were saved when Enom offered to transfer your names away from registryfly. They both suck ass.

Oh and the best part, I try to call these ass holes yet again today, in fact I'm' on hold with them right now. So I get the "estimated wait time" and I just know it's going to say "45 minutes" whats it say? It says "3 seconds" so I'm like WTF praise Jesus and Buda and who ever else I can think off.. Well wouldn't yea know that was a bunch of BS as I site here still on hold for the last 20 mins.

FUCK you ENOM and FUCK you Registerfly.. I've never in my life dealt with two incompetent companies..

FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK can I say that again?

Finally they answered the phone after 35 mins and I was put on hold again.. of course. The finial solution? E-mail them the domain list and they will supposedly transfer them.

Umm ok, then why the hell couldn't they do that in the first place?

So now I'll be moving my domains away from Enom as they expire instead of registerfly. It's pretty fucked up that they can get away with holding my domains hostage leaving me pretty much only one option to transfer them over to enom.

Yea I'm getting away from anything to do with enom. I was originally moving my names away from registerfly over to namecheap. But I've been moving them to moniker lately and that's where I wanted to continue to keep moving them.

It's BS that these companies can screw you over so much and what can yea do about it? Nothing.

We had excellent support from Bulkregister. When Enom acquired them things went to hell. Last time I called them over an hour on hold followed by a hangup. I would love to find a good registrar preferably not is the US.

Not to worry, we operate independantly of enom and provide our own support and interface.

If we need to get through to enom it is done so immediately as we provide close to 10% of their business.

If any of you have domains at enom and would like to transfer them over to your NameCheap account for free email our support and they will let you know how to do it.

Your domains must be with enom and not still under registerfly in order to accomplish this.

Just for GFY we'll even throw in 1 year of free whoisguard subscriptions to anyone who transfers their domains over for free from enom.

If anyone from our support gives you any issues with the free whoisguard just point them to this thread or let me know.

The fact that we provide our own unique interface and our own support team as well as a long standing(over 6 years) reputation for great support.

BTW registerfly is ICANN accredited and that doesn't seem to make much of a difference. It's the people behind the business and how they take care of their customers that make it successful.

Don't take our word for it you can see here:

registerfly is STILL fucking me in the ass.

Bastards still have some of my most important domains locked up because they can't even seem to generate an EPP auth code to get the fuckers out. (these were non enom, so I have to transfer, not push.) Its killing me.

Ditto here. I have only three left I'm trying to get EPP codes for. What's scary, though, are for a couple of the domains I successfully moved to Moniker, RegisterFly is sending me renewal notices for. WTF ?

Just a daily Bump to say

ENOM sucks ass

and so does registerfly...

as a side note it now seems Enom the the freaking problem.. the domain's that are actually registered via registeryfly I can transfer.. But my domains that are registered with ENOM are locked.

I talked to Enom yesterday and the support tech promised me that he would personally make sure my name were moved yesterday. I gave him my personal phone number and 2 e-mail address in case there were any troubles.

Guess what.. they didn't transfer the names. I try to call enom "estimated hold times are over 1 hour on a non toll free line...

Go Fuck yourself enom

This is your warning if you do business with enom..

No offense man, but so does registerfly. I'm coming to the conclusion that even though registerfly has screwed up a bunch, I believe it's Enom that is causing the renewal issues.

Two months ago all my names that I registered via Registerfly but were under Enom had their DNS servers changed. They were changed to a Enom name server. So about 50 of my sites went down and I couldn't change them for days.

Every since then I haven't been able to readd my whois info because that was also blacked out in the registerfy admin. When ever I try I get a bad user name/ bad password error. However any of the names I have that show registerfly in the whois, I can do anything I want with them. I can transfer them and get the EPP codes, but the Enom names I can't get the EPP codes so I can't transfer them.

So I think it's Enom that is causing this trouble, so to be honest with you I have about 30 names also with namecheap and at this point I do not feel they are any safer than the ones that I have with Enom. Simply because when I look at the whois of names that I have registered via namecheap.. it says ICANN Registrar: ENOM, INC

So no offense to you or your company because I haven't had any bad service from you, but then again I didn't have any bad service from registerfly until they started having issues renewing domains. I'm honestly starting to think that it was Enom that was causing those issues, because regfly was moving the domains away from them.

I think you should recheck that, because I have access to all the domain's EPP codes that show registerfly as the registrar in the whois. The only domains I'm having issues with are domains with Enom in the whois. Those I can't do anything to because any chage on those domains resualts in an error

Get this -
I backordered a name through them a month ago, then I just received an email saying:
Quote:
DropWeek is no longer an eNom Club Drop partner. You have until March 15th to transfer your domain or you’ll lose the ability to manage the name. Simply 'Add Years' to automatically transfer the domain to eNom. The transfer will extend the term an additional year.
So not only did I have to pay 1yrs fees on top of the $60 backorder, but now I have to pay 8.95 again to keep control of my domain. I asked for clarification as to what owuld happen if i didn't:

Quote:
If you don’t transfer the registrar can charge additional fees to manage the domain. They don’t have a control panel. It’s best to transfer.
Fucking scamming shits :grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:

Use enom at your own risk...

Let this post serve as a warning still no updates from Enom so yet another wasted day. If you transfered your domains to Enom I'd suggest transferring them elsewhere.

They are incredibly difficult to get a hold of. Make is very not cool. I guess no one is perfect but they have a lot people that use their services. Maybe they should step up their game. *shrugs* I dunno. But they have never returned my emails.

Yes even after I received a e-mail directly to the person that's supposed to be transferring my domains I've yet to have any e-mails answered. Meanwhile I've given them 2 e-mail addresses, that they can get a hold of me at, I've given them my phone number and still nothing for 4 days. Not to mention when I first started trying to contact them back around the 15th.

Yet here I sit again on hold for the last 26 mins..

The heavens and the Earth must be aliened as I finally got someone on the phone who actually did something.

WTF it took me 4 or 5 times on hold waiting a min of 45 minutes each times and 2 unanswered support tickets and 2 e-mails to support.. Just to get one guy on the phone who actually did something.

Took him all of 5 mins to get the domains in my account.

So this just shows that they don't give a fuck in general if it was something that simple to do.

So now I have to start transfering them away from enom, because I'm not dealing with this BS again.

polish_aristocrat you can either call 3 or 4 times and wait on hold 45 mins each time or you can bribe me for the extention of the guy who actually got something done..But I dunno if he would be the right dept for you as this guy was in tech support.

As a side note I can't link to the post because it's another webmaster board. But if you guys remember the whole deal with Slick and DirectNic.. Well seems a adult webmaster whom transfered his domains away from regfly to Enom. Well one of his domains was locked and DNS has been reset by Enom, he said it was his biggest site aswell.

So this guys site has been down the last few days due to Enom resetting his DNS and locking the domain. Dunno why it was done yet, but seems to me to be a lot like the whole Slick and Directnic deal.. But this time with Enom.

I have a name - number and extension of someone there.
He's been very helpful *although I think the guys at Moniker were the easiest ones to deal with - HOWEVER - I have my reservations with Moniker for other reasons too*

In the meantime - if you need the Enom guys' number - hit me up

If it hasn't been posted anywhere else:

Embattled domain registrar RegisterFly will lose its accreditation if it can't fix serious operational problems in the next 15 days. ICANN has informed the New Jersey-based registrar that it is in breach of its operating agreement, threatening enforcement action (PDF) after months of complaints from RegisterFly customers. The registrar's operations have descended into chaos this week, with its web site paralyzed amid allegations that the former president and CEO misused company funds.
