++RegisterFly finally gets the heave ho from Enom++

Rejoice, rejoice, all that bullshit RegFly engaged in finally comes home to roost for one of the all-time worst Registrars (NSI wrote the manual and is forever top of the list)

http://www.enom.com/migrate/faq.asp

--------

This is a formal notice to owners of domains which have been registered through eNom via its reseller, RegisterFly.com.

YOU MUST TAKE ACTION NOW TO RETAIN FULL MANAGEMENT RIGHTS TO YOUR DOMAIN NAME.

Although you purchased your name at RegisterFly, eNom is the actual registrar of record for your domains. As we are severing our relationship with RegisterFly, we are aware that this may have an impact on you as the domain owner.
Therefore we would like to offer this opportunity to assist you in securing control of your domain name directly with eNom.

Over the last year, eNom has become aware of an increasing number of complaints from dissatisfied RegisterFly customers.

As an eNom reseller, RegisterFly is contractually bound to adhere to certain standards of customer service in a speedy and diligent manner. Therefore, effective immediately, we have terminated RegisterFly as a reseller of domain names through eNom.

Our records indicate that you are the registrant contact for 1 domains.

HOW TO SECURE CONTROL OF YOUR DOMAIN NAMES

Create a free account at eNom using the link below. Your domain names will automatically be moved to the eNom control panel where you will immediately have the ability to manage your domain(s).
In addition, these domains will receive a discounted renewal rate.

<link removed>

There is no charge for this service, as eNom is already the registrar of record for your domains. Please reference our list of frequently asked questions page http://www.enom.com/migrate/faq.asp for additional information.
We look forward to helping you feel more secure about your domain management.

eNom, Inc.
http://www.eNom.com
former registrar for RegisterFly.com

finally, regfly is the worst company i have ever had to deal with in my entire life. i got ousted out of about $600 from them not to long ago, not a HUGE amount but that is alot of domain registrations right there.

I am really surpirsed it took eNom this long to do anything about it, it is a well known fact in every corner of the web that regfly is easily one of the worst if not the worst company to deal with.

Better late then never i would say.

The problem is that there are lots of registrars that are shady. It's a shady business to begin with, and the temptations are too high, so RegFly is just one of many.

Yeah I got that email aswell. I got one of the domains transfered over by clicking the link in my email. But trying to figure how to move the rest of my domains over.

I still got 8 domains that I have paid to have renewed for over a month ago at registerfly, and there still not renewed and I have been calling and sending emails every day. I hope just maybe enom can help me get them over and renewed.

Did they JUST send this email to 200,000 people? Most of whom are now hitting enom.com? It is moving at a snail's pace for me right now... argh.

this is scary, in the email it says

"P.S.: IMPORTANT! If no action is taken, you may no longer be able to renew your
domain name or manage it in 30 days.
The domain name will remain registered in your name at eNom until it expires.
Please take action immediately. Thank you.
"

also, i signed up for the enom account and it says i have 4 domains to be moved, meanwhile i have like 100 in my regfly account.

Guys you have to wait for your email to click the UNIQUE link that actually creates a new enom account for you under THAT name. Just sit tight and wait for the email.

also, aren't only SOME of the domains resold through enom? meaning when registerfly became a accredited registrar, didn't they stop reselling through enom?

Anything registered in the last 6-8 months is not at enom so unless you have a domain expiring in the next 2-3 months you should be fine.

You're going to have to get the email. I would imagine they have a unique key in the link.

As an alternative you can go to http://easy-registry.com/

I'm an enom reseller and offer domains at the lowest price enom allows me to sell them for.

I got the email at 2:09 pm EST, if that helps anyone. It shows one domain.. must have missed one when I pulled all mine a month or two ago..

I'm so happy to see Registerfly get dumped.. they truly deserve it.

Good luck with your domains, everyone..

I think any domains registered before RegisterFly became accredited that have been renewed at RegisterFly after they got accredited will now be registered with RegisterFly rather than eNom and thus you would not have got an email for those domain(s).

BTW, your account is created quickly, but might appear empty for up to an hour or two until your names are dropped in. Don't panic, but remember that zillions of people who hate REGISTER FLY BY NIGHT are dying to get their names out, so there's going to be a lag.

Why the hell did any of you get domains through a reseller anyway? Go directly to the source on something as important as domains.
