Can you revert to an older drive restore state? I say this as I have no confidence in the ability to completely uninstall IE7, and I bet you there is a conflict there somewhere. Not that MS would sabotage Firefox on purpose or anything.

Maybe it's crashing b/c all the files aren't updated for either browsers or Windows. Happens to me sometimes at home. I gave up surfing the web at home. Good luck. And yes I have tried everything from Opera, FireFos, AOL, Netscape, IE7, and I think thats it. Downloads.com always had options. Good luck again!

Jace when you uninstalled and reinstalled it, did you still have your bookmarks, etc, present? If so you might have a corrupt profile and that might be causing the crashes. Shut off firefox (you might have to windows task manager>processes and make sure firefox isn't running in the background). Then go to start>run>and type in firefox.exe -p

That'll open up your profile manager, create a new one, and log into it. If it works move the necessary files to the new profile name (so you have the bookmarks, etc) and then delete the old profile. This happened on my firefox a bit ago...that's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

Glad it worked :D That's the only problem I've ever had with firefox...I'll be damned if I ever go back to using IE, lol.

A bare install of firefox should not crash;you probably had residual files kicking around that were causing the problem.

You can run firefox in safe mode from the start menu, for future reference.

I'm having a lot of issues today with GFY crashing my FireFox browser. I just loaded it up on IE7 and this is the first thread I saw. Pretty funny.
