feedwordpress post limit

yeah, I know I've been asking a lot of blog questions lately, but I couldn't find the answer for this one anywhere...

in feedwordpress, let's say I have many feeds I syndicate from... so every time I update, I can get like 30-50 new posts inserted.... obviously that's way too much for a regular blog. How can I limit the posts for say 2-3 per day? any way to manage that?
I'm sure such feature would be useful not just for me...

You would need to modify feedwordpress a bit, basically the mod would have to change all the datelines at the time of syndication as the datelines are given by the feed.

someone must have done something like this...
I mean I would assume that's a common issue with feedwordpress... nobody wants a blog that updates with 30 posts daily...

Hvae a look at http://www.zippedsites.com/

They have a plugin in thier Wordpress collection called 'Lazy poster' or something similar.

It randomizes the date stamps on the posts so you only get how many you want per day. I havnt used it so cant vouch for how well it works but it could be worth a try.

Autoblogger Pro SA has a post limiter built in. I think the old one did too but I'm not sure on that.

It should be fairly easy to modify fwp to do it too.

It's called Lazy Blog, but it's a little different. From the readme: "Lazy blog rotates blog posts, so that if you don't have time to post it will take the oldest draft post, move it to today, make it live and take the oldest live and make it draft. This way you can have a blog run on autopilot. If you keep posting to the blog, lazyblog will not kick in, depending on the parameters you set up."

Yeah, it didn't take me very long to figure out how to add that feature to Autoblogger Pro SA. I'm sure someone can figure out how to do the same thing for FWP without much of an issue.

there isn't a way to do that now, but you can set them to be drafts and then insert them in as you want them

if you need control like that though, I would suggest getting autoblogger pro or rsstoblog, they both can post a specific amount of posts at a time set interval
