Problems with IE7, Cookies, and Affiliates?

I was just reading on another forum that IE7 defaults to "no cookie" and people are complaining about losing their affiliate money because they are not getting credit for their sales.

I'm using IE7 and my cookies seem to work. I have not noticed cookies not transferring. I'm assuming this is a rumor, am I right?

What about 3rd party cookies? I just read that some affiliates use those and that IE7 has those turned off by default.

I don't even know what a 3rd party cookie is, but I'm worried now about affiliate sales.

I was using IE7 and when I went to Tools >Internet Options >Privacy >Sites it listed a bunch of domains who's cookies are blocked.

Many of them are affiliate sites that I use. So if my IE7 browser is blocking these cookies then what about a lot of my traffic that is using IE7? If those domains are cookie blocked on their browser than I'm not getting credit for those sales.

I can't seem to find the same "sites" list for IE6.

Can you list those sites Rhonda for those without IE7?

Where do you see in IE7 whether no cookies is default or not?
