Have you seen her picture on rate the webmaster? She would have no business calling me a hooker. I don't honestly feel she was attacking me as a person, so I have no animosity towards her.
What other routes did I have? I asked him repeatedly to answer me how he had my name. He was playing around with me, I know that now, but I was getting no where asking him and no solution would have been gained in private. As you can see it still took him two hours on the board to *start* disclosing his source.

Miraculously, I still have not been to that site.

Much like my refusal to watch TV for some reason, I dont want to see what any of you look like, so I do not go to that site.

Well I think it is not out of the norm to inform law enforcement when someone is "truly in fear" of being stalked. To me your motive for taking in to the board is suspect. Could it be you took it to the board for the "drama" of it all, and recieved more attention than you probably expected?

This is not a thread I started because I found mrthumbs to be funny, and that should be obvious.

I dont watch TV because its like watching a screensaver. Except the occasional car chase on the news etc... car chases are daily here in LA though.

Nonetheless, being from New Orleans, grew up with theatre and jazz, and wonderful performances by both young and old actors and musicians, moving to Hollywood really shed light on how fake and processed television really is.

When I do watch tv every now and then, its hard for me to. The actors and themes are such shit, I cant help but ridicule and poke fun at even some of the most expensive of Hollywood creations.

I wanted to be clear, and I wanted to address each point that was posed. This all started with my wanted to be helpful and answer someone's question by emailing them a simple response that did not need to go further. You're right that one reason this thread is still active is my continuing involvement in it, and that began this morning when I stood up to a personal attack.

My motives were to bring his game of cat and mouse into the open, so that he would have to explain his creepy and threatening actions because he showed that he felt no need to answer me.

Cheshire, first, I totally understand and agree with your reaction to this. We have a webmistress for HGV too, and if anybody started creeping out on her, we ALL would jump his ass. I would be freaked out myself if I hadn't shared my name, and someone found it out and wouldn't tell me how they did it.

At least from the e-mails ive read here, and at mr. thumbs's website, I would say it looks like he was just trying to look suave, by having 'information' about you he found by reading your full e-mail header. I think he misunderstood how important it was for you to know how he got this information, and how it's important you remain anonymous. He should have respected that and answered right away.

I don't like to see everyone bashing Mr Thumbs here either, sure, it carried on way too far, but at least he never posted
her name here to the public (shows me he isn't malicious). I also think it was very cool of Cheshire to post a public apology for her misunderstanding of his intent (as a stalker). I still side with her on this one, and I also think that was probably the most 'adult' thing ive seen on this board yet. Rock on Cheshire.

This is pretty much resolved at this point, but I had to make my comments. I don't know if the server hack thing was a joke, but I really hope it was. Hey, if Mr thumbs hired a private investigator to get Cheshire's real name, or followed her home and looked at her mail or something creepy, I would have a totally different opinion, but at the same time he hasn't posted her name, and he did eventually tell everyone how he got it. I personally can't see why people are attacking him, he isn't pimpdog.

I think this one is just a technical misunderstanding. Her name in the email had nothing to do with how hew *email* was configured. It was how her *workstation* was configured. I think the basic idea is that someone who didn't follow that factual bit of the thread may not be paying enough attention.

Hence, her computer was given HER real first name. Right? Is there not a difference between this and just an email configuration?

In fact, I once worked for an internet company and recall locating my boss's computer on the network (because of its name) and finding out there was lots of juicy files to browse. hehe

My words are always based on facts. From the facts stated in this thread it was the configuration of her PC OS and not her email program.

If you do not understand how this works then that is fine but please do not assume that others are in the same boat as you.
