Whats a good phone card to buy in Canada (making provincial calls)
My parents always have the worst luck with these cards
Each one they try advertises great rates, but then they axe you a huge amount of your credits when you make the call, then give u a really low rate after that whats a good card that doesnt rip you off?

I just have a cell phone so I always end up buying a bunch of $1 calling cards to keep on hand for calling long-distance. Most of the $1 cards give you like 200 minutes in Canada, and even though there may be a small connection charge for each time you use it, I still get like 4-5 calls to my folks out of each one. Just make sure they dial the local access number to connect, not the 1-800 numbers they have, those give you bigger connection charges...

If i call long distance straight on my cell phone, i get charged the long distance rate. the $1 phone cards i get have maybe a 5-8cent connection fee every time i dial the local access number to use it but a 20-25cent fee if i use the toll free number on the card... i get about 200 minutes on a $1 card, within Canada, but usually works out to about 4-5 15 or 20 min calls, but at least i avoid the long distance charge on my cell phone. and i grab like 5 at a time anyways so i don't have to worry bout losing them
