I have been looking for a new dedicated server for many months now. I HOPE to switch servers in February.

I have researched this matter as far as I can take it.

At this time this is the best deal I have found...

www(dot)singlehop.com/servers

Add a plesk license to their base package and the price changes to $139 per month with a P4, 2.5TB and zero start up fees.

They don't offer free migration services, and they charge an extra $25 p/month for a 100 Mbps port, rather than the 10 Mbps the above rate represents.

Does anyone offer a better deal? Please review the current package before responding.

Maybe not the cheapest arround but always open for a custom deal and the support is kick ass!

Yeah, those prices aren't even close.

That is why I added this sentence to the end of my request...

1. The best deal and the cheapest deal are 2 different things </my 2 cents>

Those boxes aren't managed so if you know nothing about server admin, all I can say is make sure you have a good server admin at your disposal.

Something tells me that their "a la carte management" pricing will not be easy to swallow.

Before finding singlehop.com the last "best deal" I was seriously considering was through aplus.net - I appreciate all feedback, but please review the 2 deals I am already aware of first, and then let me know why your deal is better.

I am comfortable with the Plesk interface, as that is what I currently use now. I am looking for a scaleable server, so if my bandwidth increases I don't have to keep switching boxes. This is why aplus.net fell short.

Help with migration from my old server would be helpful, but not imperative.

Good customer service with some free tech support is big.

A FAST server is a must!

I have a handful of sites I want to launch, but my current server does not offer much bandwidth, so I need to move soon.

One of my sites is BoobieMovies.com, and most of my upcoming sites will be similar in size and content (lots of clips). BoobieMovies.com has only been live for a few months, so the bandwidth is not too crazy yet, but it builds daily, so I am reluctant to add any more sites to my current box.

Singlehop.com offers 2.5TB right off the bat, so there is a lot of room to grow, and then they offer TB upgrades without switching boxes, so that is part of my attraction to them.

Any advice or BETTER DEALS would be appreciated.

You can do a cpanel vserver for $99 with www.dwhs.com much better then plesk.

You also get free daily back ups, cpanel, and managed services.
