My nephew just picked up a wireless 1TB raid box for $599. If you're interested in anything like that I'll get the details from him.
All of my stuff is on external USB in the back room. Easy to move stuff around that way. |

Here it is: http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=iomega+1TB+wireless+network+storage&num= 100&hl=en&lr=&newwindow=1&safe=off&checkout=1&sa=X &oi=froogle&ct=checkout-restrict
He got it for $549 at a local store called Fry's Electronics during an after Xmas sale. He says he loves it...haven't used one myself. Edit: Also just noticed that it's 250GBx4, so it wouldn't be 1GB if running RAID 5... |

Lacie and Western Digital both make real good external drives. Western Digital now has real inexpensive "book" style external drives which I like a lot. I have 2 of the 1TB drives and 2 500GB drives. Best Buy has a special for the 250GB firewires for $149 and $179 for the 350GB's from what I can remember.
Seagates are good too, but the external drives are a bit bigger and harder to stack. |
