what's the hardest/worst and best/coolest job youve ever had?
For me one of the hardest and coolest was the same job... When I was a teenager I worked in a haunted house 2 Halloweens in a row. It starts up a month or so before and ends at Halloween, which is right around the time the weather starts going wacky in TX, so the first couple of weeks, it would be so fucking hot, in the costumes and everything, then the next couple of weeks you'd freeze. It was pretty hard work and physically demanding. You are constantly moving from one hiding spot to another, or following people in secret passages to "get the scare" and then you have to make it back to a certain place to catch the next group. It's a good work out! I don't think I've ever been so tired at the end of a work day. Mentally it was interesting as well. You can usually see a group before they come so you plan out each scare and time it just right and choose the best way of scaring each person based on where you are and what props you have in the room with you. You also have to learn how to basically navigate the entire lay out of the structure with your eyes closed. You have to know the fastest way from every point A to every point B, and do it all without letting anyone see you! It's a lot of fun but a lot of hard work.

I worked in this crazy pub for a while - it was a massive punch up from the moment it opened to the moment it closed. Everything was attached to the floor with bolts - plastic glasses only and no bottles over the bar or they killed each other with them. We had beer pumps that didn't get turned off for a whole 12 hour shift with 30 + bar staff on at all times - it was fucking crazy, but great fun.

When I left school, over 10 years agpo now, my first job was in animation, that was cool. Since then I have worked in a whole range of industries including construction and most recently real estate. This industry, being part of what I call the entertainment industry, is one I always return to, and I derive my best work. I have only been at this a couple of months, but would say that it is peachy as. I have a shitload to learn, and that is the beauty of it, it is forever interesting!

Best and worst job was the same: DJ in a strip club. Long hours, tons of bitchy, bitchy dancers that don't want to go on stage, can't show up on time, don't like the music, don't like the lights, demanding bosses and a werd deal about living your entire day in 3 minute increments. Very strange feeling. It was also the best because, well, I worked in a strip club
