Is there a route plotting site to maximize driving effenciency?
Is there a mapquest style site where I can type in the address I'm leaving from and the address I want to end at and then it can tell me the best course for hitting the 18 destinations between ?
Thanks

yes, best as in it would take the least time. I'm paying someone to put up yard signs at specific addresses all day and I don't want them to do it ineffeciently.

Or was that a joke about using a term that is commonly used with aviation?

google maps has added a new add destination feature. I am sure with a little tinkering it can be done.

If so, it helps to have a rough idea of where you are. If this is a local route, I would use a Thomas Guide. |

A long time ago, Providian Bank commissioned a similar study for the routes of their armored vehicles, to save gasoline. What they found is that the cost of the gas was relatively insignificant compared to the cost of the interest that they were losing by not having the big mass of money deposited ASAP. The insightful analyst became President of the company.
I imagine the same is true for your dilemma. You could spend days, maybe weeks, of high cost CEO and other high level talent calculating the most efficient route, thereby wasting your valueable time (opportunity cost) to do other profitable business. All you gain is maximum efficiency for your $7 an hour driver.

What if I were to quit pondering this right now, give a programmer $200 to write a php script that will input all the data into mapquest, parse it, and compare it everyway possible? ;)
