Ask yourself this: Do you like adult games?

Ofcourse you do. Everyone loves adult games.
The main problem is wether they do keep the members longer on the site or not.
Usualy making a surfer happy on the site makes him come back over and over again. If he loves the games he may come back and play again.
That is not to say that surfers will come back just for playing the games, but having games, having good and diverse content wll keep them on the site longer.

Darren,

I will be the first to admit (unless Paul beats me to it) that games WILL NOT produce signups. I don't think anyone selling games will say that. It would be foolish to say.

However, as far as retention goes. That's another story. Games are a nice add on feature that will keep members at your site longer that a quick fix of porn will. Anyone paying for a membership to your site, is going to take full advantage of what you have to offer. If all you have is pics and video, once your member is "done" he will find somewhere else to go. God forbid he stumbles across another site that he finds more interesting than your.

When you have a product like games on your site, once your member is "done" he can STAY at your site and play some games. If he likes a game enough, he may return just to play that game again. At YOUR site, because he knows that's where it is.

I further believe that multiplayer games are the new wave. This is why we produced "Fornicator". Your members can interact with others and actually make acquaintances that they might not make somewhere else. We have logs that show people setting up times to come back and play with people that they had a particularly fun time playing with.

We are currently in the process of producing 3 more multiplayer games, because we recognize the trends of this very demanding industry. That is not to say one player games will ever become obsolete. Quite the contrary. It is yet another choice that you offer to your members.

So, will it help with signups? Highly unlikely.

Will it help with retention? Well, there must be a demand for them, based solely on the number of suppliers. So someone is using them.

Great Question, and one that is often asked to me by potiential clients.

I have actually written articles for ynotnew, Klixxx magazine, and a few others about this exact topic.

#1. Games in general will help member retention. They don't even have to be adult oriented! Games are naturally addictive, so it is something that keeps all of us coming back for more.

Do you know what the most used microsoft program in the world is??? Do you think Word, Access, or Excel???

None of the above....It is Solitaire!

Did you ever stop to think of the demographics of the web user most of us are looking for when it comes to selling them on a paysite membership. ???? Typically young males between the ages of 18-37 years of age. hhhhmmmm.....isn't it interesting that this is the same segment of the population that waits in a three hour line just before midnight so their local electrinics store can sell them the new PS, or Xbox console. Makes you wonder .....hhhhhmmmm.

Now, let's admit....those of us that are supplying adult game content can not get anywhere near to compare ourselves to a game on Xbox. Why? Well...they put in a couple of million dollars into the developement of one game....well........just as you havve proven, there is not enough demand from the paysite owners out there to support any company to dig that deep into their pockets to develope adult games of that level....Well...atleast not yet.

Interestingly....if you are a paysite owner you understand the importance to keeping your content fresh. If you are showing the same image set as last month, you will lose your member....they hunger for a new experience everytime they log in. Well....with games, the outcome is different each time. Why it is that so many people play that Solitaire game at work, at home, around the clock...they totally lose time in it. Well....the game never changes, the graphics are always the same, and from the beginning record history, humans have documented playing games of all kinds.

So, I keep talking about solitaire, knowing that most of your members will play such standard games on their pc already during the day.....don't you think they would find it a more interesting game with Adult images and videos intergrated into the game itself. Also, if the only place they could find such games were in your members area....Wouldn't that help seperate your membership site from all of the others?

yes, adult games increase retention.

adult games are the best option to start contests and giveaway prizes for the best players (eg T-Shirts, caps or mugs branded with your sitename).

Best thing is diverse content, aside from the obvious stuff. Articles on penis enlargement, sex techniques, how to attract women, funny pictures, sex jokes, and adult games are a great way to make a site a surfer's first bookmark instead of just his necessary porn supply.
Message boards might help as well (for amateur sites mostly though).

I totally agree.

I think the key to member retention is interactivity. If your site is only two demensional and passive, then the member will do their deed within a few minutes of signing up with you, and then cancel, but if you can pull in that member by the site interacting with them, then that is where you get the retention. Everyone has photos, everyone has videos, everyone has live feeds, but those that go outside of the box, that makes all of the difference in the world.

Something else to keep in mind is that we have almost 100% retainment of all of our clients, so the content works, or they would all cancel. There is a lot to be said with interactivity.
