Rents prices have gone through the roof lately all over the country. Even in the cheaper places to live rent can sometimes cost you twice as much or more a month as it would to buy.

Actually Nashville has lots of good schools. I was planning on private school till I went and saw the elementary school for my oldest daughter. Oh and I live in a excellent neighborhood at a good price, with everything we need within 15 minutes of us.

Why would anyone rent a house? It's a buyer's market right now and you can get a house at a somewhat decent price. I know the housing market isn't what it used to be, but you can buy a house, sit on it for a few years, and still take home a modest profit in a few years.

I bought my house here in Northern California six months ago and it was just appriased at $90k more than we paid for it.

Same here. House increased in equity over 70k in less than 2 years, and still continues to climb. :upsidedow
