What is your exit strategy?

Ok it is already understood not many are in this long term or as their full time occupation. This question is not directed at those but to people who do this full time or have web mastering as their occupation.

What are your exit strategies?
Do you have trusts, wills, estate planning set up to handle your sites or their futures if you become incapacitated or kick the bucket?

What are your retirement plans, side investments, things to keep you going after you have past your work prime?

Anyone concerned about their future and or just hoping to make some real money before that time comes?

I like your advance planning questions. It is important do do.

One thing that webmasters can do to help their heirs is to write a simple manual on operating the business. Even if it only lists assets, accounts, passwords, etc.. that can be a big help.

Great questions to keep in mind, ASM. To be honest, I haven't planned that far ahead.

this is what i plan on doing the rest of my life, but i have no idea bout what im gonna do when im old or retiring or whatever. im gonna go to college/university anyways though so i got something to fall back on just incase

What is considered past your work prime in adult?

Take Paul Markham for example... ;)

Well one may last until death slinging porn ala Hef.
Others may be doing well and then wham a stroke, a car accident, a long term hospital stay.

I have personally been investing money in simple compound interest programs since I was 16. I am a bit more savvy now of course. I have paid off my properties, have income generating rentals, an annuity that was set up, and I am looking for much more to do. Hence the question.

Also due to my condition I have already set up a trust, a living will, and a full plan on what is to happen to my business and domains.

I invest in commercial real estate. Looking at some domains.

The idea of being seriously ill or dead is really a disaster in this business. How long would it take for your company to go under without you? Traffic dries up, hosting stops and domains expire. Your heirs cash a bunch of weird checks with "something cash" as the payee and that is the last of it.

To make enough to the point where I never have to sit behind a box again...Spend my mornings waking up with my cock in my girls mouth....Spend the afternoon watching her ass glisten in the sun.....Spend the nite suckling on her nipple to go to bed.

Sounds like an escape route?

I like this biz and been in it for well over 30 years and no plans to retire soon or "escape".

Sure, ya build up other interests over time, tho can't say they were considered part of a backup plan - just diversifying into areas where there is an interest, particularly highly niched real estate/development, and not necessarily just for the money, tho they happen to earn far more than investment in net activity and without the work.

Can't say I've ever chased a dollar - was more interested in making whatever project work and getting a buz from that - and still interested in stuff that was started decades ago and no wish to dump any of these projects or escape from them.

It's also nice to stuff on another hat and take a break from adult webmastering and do something else.

Started it a few years ago: Got into real estate. Now I'm taking classes for medical coding to back THAT up. Just one more semester - YAY! Adult is about 10-15% of my income right now.

Not an escape plan for me. I been doing adult related work since the late 80's.

I just want to plan for the future the best I can, and of course take care of the people I want if I should pass.

No matter how much I plan, odds are I'll be working hard until I go blind or die. For now we are trying to get into a house so we can pay off a mortgage before we turn 60. Figure it out when we get there or at least farther down the line...alot of people don't really think about that stuff until they have started a family or created enough assets to to protect.

Well I really don't like chaining more than one of them together... I think it's important to draw attention to everything on the console though, so good sharp thumbs and a nice design, target=_blank a must.

Also I really like having a pop with a special price point on the join page, ie. full price join option only but when you exit you get a pop offering you the trial... Have set this up for a few programs and it's nice to see those trial joins start coming because you know they would have left otherwise.

I'm using some great ie7 code but it still doesn't pop on firefox or google toolbar so will have to look into that.

That's seriously what my grandfather did when he sold his snack manufacturing business. He had an office and would drive his big ol' Lincoln's out in the middle of the field - full speed, usually with a few shots of whiskey but basically hired everyone to actually do the work. He loved it. And it was a great place to have parties - just watch where you walk.
