Finally got my TV card working

You won't believe how annoying/hard it is to install a ATI TV Wonder PCI on Windows XP is. Kicks ass though and it takes up less space than a TV by far

What ever you do don't hook that shit up to a dish with a 24/7 subscription to Extasy TV. That was about the most unproductive 2 months of my life.

Recently got rid of my ATI All-inWonder but they are some awesome cards. I had that virtual vcr program hooked up to capture and encode into Divx so I'd never miss Oprah, ya know.

I remember having one hell of a time installing as well....

spent months trying to install a new graphics card, finally got it done at last!

$50 says someone breaks in tonight and steals your computer.

Is there any way to have this thing encode in DiVX? The highest setting I can see it do in settings is MPEG-2.

The TV signal for me visually was fucked -- sound was fine though. What I did was download and install the newest version/drivers 7.4 and followed the install instructions *exactly* (very weird instructions). After that I still got the corrupted video but I did some research and found out that changing your color scheme from 16bit to 32bit or from 32bit to 16bit fixes the problem. Also if you are going from 32 bit where the video is fucked back to 16 adn see it working, then you can go back to 32bit and still have the video working. I hope this makes sense!

I don't like ATI tv cards, although the software rocks.
My TV tunner is a no_name one and it works better than an ATI.

The updated driver completely wiped out the TV out controls - all gone
