A good man? Well, thanks. :) Honestly, I'd just like to think that if I walked up to any of you with a gash on my head like that and said the same thing that you'd all do exactly the same.
Believe it or not, she went to the hospital yesterday and it had been so long since they knocked her head open that the hospital wouldn't stitch or even staple the wound closed. They said that the chance of infection was too high and that all the skin around the wound was dead, so they'd have to cut it away and do a large stitching operation to close it, which would get into the thousands of dollars, even by Panamanian prices.
So she's walking around with anti-bacterical cream on that gash. But otherwise, it's open and covered only by her hair. I'm going to have my doctor come take a look at it. Maybe we can get it taken care of. But if we can't, she's just going to have to heal as best she can and deal with all the hair falling out of the scar on the crown of her head and have a big white spot there for the rest of her life. |
