Can you get high speed internet off wifi networks?
Is it available all over the place (and is access free?)

Currently theres two types of networks that come to mind
What cell phones use, pretty slow for data transfer
Wireless (LAN) networks, fast but small access area

So what makes Wifi different? Is it a combination of the two above?
What are the average costs to use the internet on a blackberry?

Suck it up and bring the laptop, it won't get stolen in your room. Its much cheaper than surfing the net on a BB, especially if you're on Rogers or Bell. The speed is crap and roaming data charges will get you nailed pretty bad when you get back.

I would say yea go ahead and bring a laptop, but I was just in miami and my laptop was jacked outta my room. Horrible experience. Not going to stop me though from bringing mine to vegas though. Shit happens. Just make sure you always logout and have a good password on your shit. That should keep most people out.
