Nope. Just studied a fair bit and understand the deal. 3 ups and 3 downs in 6 hours at a non-commercial airport probably wouldn't be hard. but McCarran airport at the wrong time can be rather busy including lineups for departure and long, long incoming routes. You might want to take out the plates and have a look. I also don't think they allow circuits there much, so you would have to file an actual flight plan and go up to a reasonable altitude, turning to join the approach vectors on the way around.

It is cool as heck idea, I'm all for it...

As an ex-air traffic controller, I can tell you with all honesty: thats utter bullshit

it is an approach controller's job to sequence incoming planes. That controller will handle spacing and vectoring to the approach gate (an imaginary point in the sky only visible on the approach radar screen) and hand the plane off to the tower or precision approach controller.

Departure control will handle departing flights. The pilot does not personaly handle 'climbing to a reasonable altitude, turning to join the approach vectors on the way around', the pilot will follow headings and altitudes assigned by the controllers while in class B or class A airspace, which begins at 18,000 feet. Or as some pilots say, flight level 180. And There is no rule that you cannot take off or land more than X amount of times daily. As long as you meet the requirements to fly in Class B airspace, they will accomodate you.

And I seriously doubt he is going to hang around in Class B airspace all day. Most pilots get out of it for thier joyride or sightseeing and only come back into Class B for landing or transitioning thru to another area.

Mr Pheer, think for a minute. The idea is that the entire cycle (from parked and stopped) to running, taxi, in line, take off, climb to FL180 (maybe higher, maybe lower, the sectors cut off at 14,000 and 23,000 if I remember correctly), circle around through the approach path vectors (remember, military airspace makes for weird routes around Las Vegas), get in line for arrivals, decend (about 2000 feet per minute), land, taxi, dead stop, unload... add fuel... etc.

But it's okay... I am sure they will get in all their cycles without issue.

You may be an ex-controller, but that area is quite special and very busy, with large amounts of restricted airspace and some pretty weird routings as a result, plus it is on the edges of all incomnig and outgoing traffic from the west coast... all making for busy airspace! Seriously, check the plates... it is truly wild!

I dont have to check the plates, I live here and I've owned three planes and flown here alot.

Trust me its not as big of an issue as you think.

Class B airspace does not ever cut off at 14,000 or 23,000 feet. Anything above 18,000 is Class A airspace. Class B terminates at 10,000 feet.

Maybe this will help you understand it:
http://flighttraining.aopa.org/stude...r_Everyone.pdf

Of course a more simple thing to do, would be to fly in & out of North Las Vegas airport which can handle corporate jets and isnt near as busy.

This could be one of the coolest promotions ever done at a show. A BRAND NEW Falcon 900, holy shit!! WAY COOL! I am not a pilot and I am not an Air Traffic Controller, but I have been on more private planes than most people have commercial planes and I have only seen one Falcon 900 up close. It is just as nice as a Gulf Stream or Global Express. SIGN ME UP!!!

Of course, it is close to $5k per hour to operate it plus all the landing fees and everything else. You guys are really going to take it around the world for a promo trip? WOW! You must have some deep pockets. I was on a GIII back and forth to Europe this summer and it was more than $100k just there and back....and that JUST COVERED THE FUEL since the plane is a friends plane that does not charter it. I can only guess that this trip is going to cost you AT MINIMUM $350,000 - $400,000.

Just out of curiosity, what does your company hope to get from this promo trip??

Who should I see about signing up?? Can you tell us the tail number...for some reason I can't see it on the pics?

Do you think asking the pilot to do a 50 ft flyover of my house at mach 0.8 just to see the look on my dog's face would be asking too much?
