Actually, I'd go with IBILL for straight processing. If you want a referral program, I'd go with CCBILL

We use http://websitebilling.com at candidcash.com as our main biller....we use three billers to insure the sale in case one fails but WebSite Billing by far has the best stats and approvals...

You will need a merchant account for the credit card processing but not the checks. There are many benefits to doing so, no just that you will dsave about 50% in processing fees. We can also help establish the merchant account.
