Is there a way to get a high speed connection real fast?
I'm moving into a new place this saturday and today AT&T tells me they dont offer cable modem service in my place. They told me they did a week ago but now they say they dont.
So saturday I wont be able to connect to the net. Anyway I can get a high speed connection before saturday? DSL will be at least 2 weeks |

Find out what cable company can provide you connectivity, if any. AT&T doesn't do all of USA
Search the net, there are some sites that will let you know what's available at your address. |

The key is to find out who in your neigborhood has access, break in, and install a wireless network. Bingo you have broadband access. If you got a few $$'s to throw at it, you could hook up 3 or 4 houses. That way when one finds out, you just switch over to the next one

Just think about it, depending on if each neighbor has a different carrier, you could have 3 or 4 diff IP's to use in posting galleries each day, think about the possibilities. This could be a good idea for those of us that already have access, get new IP's by hacking your neighbors network, then when the government comes a knocking your safe as can be

DWL-5000AP 5GHz Wireless Access Point around $250
AirPro DWL-A520 Wireless PCI Adapter $150 and your ready for access, to get all the way from your neighbors house you may have to rig the antenna outside somehow Tim ![]() |

The websites and customer support (the cable company I use calls their customer support people "Customer Relations Coordinators" -- gotta love euphamisms) don't know jack.

Rather stick with the standard network than wireless. A lot cheaper. It'd be nice to have internet access on my laptop though in front of the TV.
