strange dns question
hi
i have 2 servers and 1 domain xxx.com. I changed the dns of xxx.com to server2(it was pointed toserver1). the domain is still redirecting me to server1 but some of my visitors are able to reach server2 why can't I reach server 2? ------------- xxx doesn't mean xxx xxx means unknown |

if you switched your dns info only a couple of days ago, it can take awhile for it to propagate to all the dns servers in the world. the shorter your ttl setting, the quicker it should be (i believe).

While were on the topic.... anybody knows how to setup DNS on windows 2000 server. I need it to be with my domain for example... ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com ? I know I have to register it with my registrar first, but whats the next step after that??
