Haven't ever watched anything else than Knight Rider in the 80s since some of the TV's could receive the austrian TV ORF, but communist series were also fun.

Happy Days was pretty lame once it hit the 80's

How in the world could you not include Miami Vice? More than any other TV show it changed the way these shows were produced.

What about Family Ties, The Cosby Show, Full House and what was the Urkel show called??? Family Matters??

Personally, I don't think any show even comes close to The Dukes, but I thought we should give everyone some more options!

If I recall correctly that guy went nutso. Like totally bonkers. Last I saw he looked like he was on meth or something and looked really really bad.

A few of those shows mentioned are from the 70's, not the 80's.

Hogan's Heroes ran from 1965 - '71 for example.

MASH, Happy Days, -- definitely the 70's.

Sanford & Son -- 1972 - '77

One of my favorite 80's series was Moonlighting.

Out of the ones you listed that are 80's shows I'd go with Magnum PI.

Dukes just didn't do it for me for any length of time, neither did A-team. Watched them all for a while but eventually moved on when they got repetitive. Magnum was well-written and well-acted.

If you're going to mention Knot's Landing you have to include Dallas ('78 - '91)

And what, still no MOONLIGHTING??

Moonlighting was right up there in the ratings with Miami Vice back then! :D

Bruce Willis was HOT in Moonlighting. That was also when Cybill Sheppard still appeared humanly and not alien-like.

I think a couple of good ones left out of the list:

MURDER SHE WROTE
IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT
