UK premium rate adult phone lines??
OK I know this is not strictly a "webmaster" topic but .......
This is totally new to me and I'm hoping there might be one or two of you out there based in the UK with some experience who will be able to offer some advice. I'm interested in setting up some adult chat lines but really don't know where to begin. I have the girls lined up but that's it! I'm guessing I get some premium rate numbers from BT and divert all calls to mobiles but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Jamie |

Surely if you re-direct a Premium Rate number to a mobile there will be an additional charge to the customer and doing so will probably be against the TOS of BT. Just guessing on the TOS...
Last time I looked into them, there was certain criteria you had to follow, telling customers how long a call would be expected to last etc... it all depends on the exact service you offer. Better speaking to BT direct about it. |

Found the link for you...
The ICSTIS governs the use of Premium Rate numbers in the Uk. Information about what you can and can't do can be found there to start with... ICSTIS - Regulations This may also be of interest if you can't get your own set up with BT:- Talior Made Premium Package They give you a number and provide the operators according to the site.... You promote the number and split the revenue. Good luck mate anyways.... BT's site is a bitch to find anything on now. |

I wouldn't do it directly through BT - it's much easier to get more lines through a smaller company, and I think they usually offer a better deal.
I've used http://www.bizorg.co.uk before and was happy with the service - paid promptly and on time. Also gave me good advice about what was and wasn't possible. |
