Hi Guys,

FLASHCA$H has always been known for honesty, integrity, and innovation. We were the first to bring you instant payments. We were the first to bring you instant payments on free trials. And we've always had a great reputation for being upfront and honest with you.

However, over the years, a certain percentage of affiliates and surfers have attempted massive credit card fraud against us. The total fraud attempted runs into the millions of dollars. So a few years ago, we implemented a state-of-the-art anti-fraud system. This checks sales (after the sale) for certain special features characteristic of fraud.

However many of our affiliates have expressed concern about this anti-fraud system, somehow thinking it denies them credit for genuine sales. This is not the case, almost every sale it denies credits or charges back.

We are in the affiliate business, and so we've listened to our affiliates. We've decided to discontinue this anti-fraud system to avoid the confusion that has been occurring.

What this means is that we need to implement some measures to handle the increased fraud risk. Firstly, we can no longer offer free trials. So from this moment, everyone sending traffic to the free trial program is now sending traffic to the paid trial program. Your payouts have been increased to paid trial rates. In fact, you will surely make more money in the paid trial program anyway.

We will also be requiring photo ID for webmasters who wish to be paid by ePassporte. Existing affiliates have 30 days to email a scan of your ID to help at flashcash dot com. From US webmasters, we will accept a drivers license or passport. From non-US webmasters, we will accept a passport. Webmasters paid by check or wire are not affected and don't have to send in ID.

Here is what I just read: we have scrubbed valid sales for years and only now that affiliates are on our back about it we are going to credit for every sale you send us. and oh yeah we found a good reason to loose free trials and make it look as if that is what webmasters have always wanted us to do.

I would have to imagine the free trials deal would bring out the worst in people trying to make a really quick buck, and add on top of that instant payouts....well, that is a recipe for disaster

yea i stopped using flashcash since apparently 1/3 of my signups were fraudulent.... was also converting around 1/4000 with them.

Instant payouts is a nice theory but in practice it is just a huge invitation to massive fraud. WTG Flashcash for seeing the light and moving away from a product that helped nobody except the beer-money webmasters.

Bump for zero sales. I like how Flashcash used this as an excuse to get rid of free trials. I don't think there's a single FC affiliate around that would have traded unverified signups for lack of free trials. Today is my worst day in 3 years with Flashcash.

I guess I'm just astonished to see a company without notice change all their free trials to paid trials. Those who are promoting these as free trials in ad copy and banners are given no notice.

I understand your decision, but I think you should give a little notice to affiliates so that they can change their ad copy, adjust ad spend to meet new ratios, or just drop your program.

Yep, no kidding. I wake up this morning to find that I'm suddenly lying to surfers on over 40 of my domains: I'm offering them free trials that turn out to be paid trials. I guess it'll take me about 2 weeks solid to edit all my links and graphics advertising free trials. I could probably shave a few days off that by just deleting the links and dropping Flashcash alltogether.

Listening to your affiliates? I for one wasn't consulted, you're listening to a voluble minority.
