It might not be the same thing. Some discussions were about keywords and others were about bidding directly on domain names. (I think)

Hey could you repost that htacess file of yours it works great. I deleted it and now i cant find it. About the conference no there was none yet. I was asked who my rep was on ice and i told the person who asked. So we will wait and see.

First off i tried a splash page on my website for AFF pushing sexsearch.com and some keywords . They were disapproved. Then i tried my aff link going to sleazydream.com sexsearch.com and some keywords and they were disapproved. Now even the keywords were getting disapproved with this setup. Even thu others were bidding on same keywords and i made myself the highest bid.

Just think and read before you speak -
We don't yet know the FACTS whether AFF is blocking others bidding on their names. You seem to think that they are, or at least hope they are.

Yet if that is in any way remotely true, then what gives with AFF bidding on all the other names they hold no TM on? Didn't they even have high bid on your domain :1orglaugh

You can choose whether to defend a trademark or not. The courts will rarely find in your favor if a defendant can demonstrate that on multiple or significant occasions you failed to defend it.

In other words, you have to defend it all the time or you may as well not bother at all...

The only question I have is why? Why is AFF doing this? Right or wrong, ethical or not? Lars said himself the amount of money made and spent on Zango is extremely small. So why would you risk screwing with your affiliates in order to make such a "small" amount of money.

I read something where Conru said Various inc. generates well over 100 million a year.

Since Conru is the main guy I would love to hear him weigh in on this issue.

The way around some of this mess is to have a strong, famous, distinctive, registered trademark.

Have a policy that neither your competitors nor your affiliates can bid on any terms containing your trademark.

Be prepared to sue like a mofo to protect your intellectual property.

What guts does it take to admit something when screenshots have been plastered all over the board? Lars hasn't been any more vocal on other boards than the other guilty sponsors who have been silent here. But this is where Lars does most of his affiliate "marketing", so what choice did he have?

You may feel the need to rationalize your continued support of AFF, but if you plan on convincing anyone there is more to it than that, you need to come up with some less transparent reasoning.

The issue was between tampatoker and zango. He said that is what they told him either he is lieing or zango told him that and they are lieing. I doubt zango would turn away business so I believe him. I also went and checked this information myself you moron. I went to aff,cams,alt, passion, etc.. about 10 times, each time i got a zango ad for one of their other sites. So I confirmed with my own eyes what he was saying.

AFF might have admitted to use Zango (only after Zango outed them) but they have made about 10 bullshit excuses WHY they use it since then. They were obviously lieing when they said they were working on a way to stop it.

I all so requested a three way call with my zango rep. Atleast saggi contacted me and asked me who i spoke with at zango. Thats all there has been since then.

You know that last few weeks i been puting in alot of time in on this zango stuff. Working with company's and webmaster how to protect there programs and there afilliates. If people choose to belive me thats fine but if not hey no problem there either thats there biz . Now lets cut out all the bullshit.
