Can someone confirm this Zango question?
Alot of people are blocking Zango thru the use of The Agent tag specified by browsers, which in most cases does state zango, however it also states
on some a tag called "FunWebProducts" now, if you recheck your logs and scan for "FunWebProducts" alone not just "Zango" you'll see a shitload more traffic with this... Is this also Zango Traffic before they had to brand their Agent? or are there other toolbars that also use "FunWebProducts" as their agent tag? |

FunWebProducts itself is a toolbar and does not seem to be THE problem... HOWEVER... it's what comes with it that is. They have free screensavers and other free stuff and to download their free stuff you agree to download other programs as well. I didn't read the whole thing when I looked at it so I don't know which adware comes with it. Their privacy agreement goes to a different URL, from funwebproducts.com to mywebsearch.com or mysearch.com, I don't remember. It looked like you get different adware depending on what free product you choose to download. I could be wrong, I didn't go through it with a fine tooth comb. But it's definitely not good traffic, I get a shitload of it too. It's not detected by adware/spyware removers I don't think because FWP itself is not adware. With most bundles if you remove one of the adware programs you HAD to download with the free stuff, the main free product you downloaded doesn't work anymore. I don't know if it's the same thing with FWP. They sure have a ton of "infected" computers out there, that's for sure! I get more of their traffic in mainstream than I do in porn. If someone is brave enough to go through all the downloads on their site to see what comes with each one... who knows, maybe they're totally clean! ![]() Missie
