Why do you assume religion is controlling their lives? Quite sure that most people who are balanced choose to live a certain way, and then a religion fits with them and their way, so they label themselves to be apart of a group with similar beliefs and way of living.

And if you ask why, then you simply have to do your own research. Almost every single non-muslim asset has been seized by muslims in Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Ethiopia and every other muslim nation. The EU has made it crystal clear to Turkey that they must allow and accept freedom to practice and recognize non-muslim religions in Turkey. They refuse. But, they are allowed to practice and be muslim all over Europe. This should set off bells and whistles in non-muslims all over the world. If muslim nations do not want to co-exist with other peoples, be it Christians and Jews, why should they be allowed to practice their own religion in Western countries?
