Will76 went on with all his bullshit while his own company that he pretends to have a part of but really doesn't goes on taking Zango traffic for years. Think about it for a second. Will is not on the right track. He is lashing out on people... Not caring about solving a problem... Only caring about naming BIG names to get attention.. All along his own program has been supporting Zango for YEARS!! And only until the last few days has he actually been taking care of it because of a post demanding he do so.... Come on now... First off, if you are looking for Zango users you would find ClickCash. There were there marketing for many years but that was not addressed until just the last few days. Bullshit!!! Will is out for a Crusade to up his recognizability. That's it!! If he was really into fighting Zango he would have taken care of his own backyard first. Then, went after Zango direcly. What does he do????? HMMM..... Think about it...

Yes... There are many posts showing ClickCash has been taking Zango traffic for MANY years. Not just some traffic but it has been recognized but professional anti-adware people that ClickCash has been a supporter and sponsor of Zango for years now. It's a fact. It's on the net. They have been there since the beginning.

I am a bit confused about what you are saying here. I am tying it to Will because his intentions are different than what you think they are. He didn't even research the fact that his own company he is backing has been taking HUGE amounts of adware traffic for many years. For him to come out and have an all out crusade against a subject that his own company has been backing and doing for years is only a personal crusade to up his own credibility. Look at the posts about ClickCash's responsibility in this whole matter. He would have tried to stop that first. It was a TON of traffic going to ClickCash from Zango alone. Not to mention the other 50 adware companies that make up for more than 40% of the Internet! Not just a measley .05% of Zango....

I should have answered this as "buying traffic from Zango is 100% legal and up until 6 weeks ago it has been accepted by well over 50,000 different companies not discluding some of the biggest companies on NASDAQ. Meaning... this is 100% legal and accepted. Will has lead sheep to places they or he doesn't understand. What do I mean by this? Porn is a perfect analogy for this situation. Most people don't want it here but it's perfectly legal if you follow certain standards. Now think about it in terms of perveyors of porn and customers. If there wasn't anyone making money on porn there would not be a fucking internet porn industry. Think about it..... And the reason porn is legal has nothing to do with the money makers keeping it legal, lol, it has to do with societies acceptance and people that are willing to defend freedoms that they believe do not harm others.

You can believe what you want. You can say what you want. And you can think what you want. But in my eyes, Zango and like programs are parasites that profit by stealing ad revenues from legitimate websites and until someone can prove me otherwise, thats where I stand. And that has absolutely nothing to do with Will, I've probably read 2 of his threads.

This is a tough situation. One thread I read said he needed to maintain his database. This could mean that if he drops adware companies all of a sudden becauase of one person that is on a crusade when it has been perfectly acceptable for years including the crusaders own company it could mean he would stress over chargeback issues. You have to keep in mind that if you drop let's say 5% of your processing one month the next month you might be facing chargeback issues because your chargebacks kept coming in and your transactions droppped. I don't know if you are informed about these sort of things but it means you could actually lose your business. Not only lose your business but lose your business overnight because ONE person decideded to try to make a name for himself and ruin one company and not even try to clean up his own backyard first.

Im glad to see these things come to light and debated on the boards.. Threw my years of doing this I've seen these scams come and go.. Webmasters have been getting ripped off ever since I started. I love seeing these guys get dragged threw the mud. LOVE IT! The word travels much faster these days..

If they need zango to stay compliant with visa, that is deeply disturbing to affiliates and clients i imagine and what about targetting their competitors and all the other stuff that doesn't support your contentions.

Buying contexual marketing from adware companies has been a practise of some of the largest companies on the Internet today for many years past. If you aren't aware it is one of the BIGGEST advertising mediums there is. Now you expect everyone to all of a sudden stop and lose that revenue stream all because one person got all hot an bothered. It's been an acceptable traffic medium for many years now undergoing many laws mandating certain requirements that Zango seems to be following. Will76 didn't even check his own programs use of Zango which has been IMMENSE for the last 4 years. This is a serious concern to anyone who wants to know Will76's true vendetta. let's see ClickCash against AFF? Hmm........

- "its a very small percentage of traffic.. less than .05%"
and
- "we have to do it to maintain the size of our member base"
and

Everytime you bring it all back to it being just a vendetta of Will comes across to me as raising a red herring to cloud the realities of the issue. Worse, chalking it up as just another contextual ad buy is disingenuous to the webmaster community who easily saw through the difference of Guba from newsgroups just like they distinguish what zango is to them here from other contextual advertising.

INMO.... It doesn't represent a small % of their traffic and their traffic is growing because of Will76. Look at alexa's ranking for zangocash.com

He is building their traffic up HUGE!!!! Will, can I hire you for some promotions I am doing?

On the other hand it appears cams.com is still growing...

So what is Will76 actually doing? Helping Zango? Promoting Zango? How many GFY'ers didn't know about Zangocash.com or MetricsDirect.com that are now in the now and using them? Look at the charts I posted and you tell me what you think is happening.

It's common knowledge that Zango is 0.05% of the US surfers. Then, you take the popups, which don't occur every site you browse, that are only clicked on 15% of the time. In the end you are looking an EXTREMELEY small amount..

I am not AFF. I don't know if they have a problem with their database and chargebacks. Check with them.

so....

1) it has no direct effect on user levels since its basically an irrelevant amount of traffic.

2) it has no consequences on the merchant account and processing since normal fluctuations are such that not having zango traffic wouldn't even register

3) its apparently not enough worth stealing to begin with.

so, lets take the time to examine the arguments for it based on your statements.
