Just backup, then delete the contents of the .htpasswd file. When your members try to log in, they will get an Apache 401 error. You can use .htaccess to point the error to an .html page you make informing your members their login is no longer valid, why it isn't, and how to sign up for your new processor. Make sure they know how to cancel charges from Paymonde, as well. Let them know they will keep getting charged unless they cancel membership themselves. Did a quick search on Google and here is a page to help you redirect the Apache 401 error code: http://www.indiana.edu/~wmhome/tool_...errordoc.shtml |

MEMBERS PLEASE NOTE: A company called Paymonde stoled the money you paid to join our site, for that, we no longer allow you access to our member's area. To get your money back, call your bank or credit card issuer and tell them you dont know anything about this charge for Paymonde that apears on your credit card statment. Also, we strongly sugest you call your state attorney general and the better business bureau and report this unathorized charge to your card. The phone number for the company that stoled your money is 514-287-0009 |

Calling a thief a thief is righteous. Get your head out of the clouds, Paymonde/MyVirtualCard are a bunch of idiots and I hope that they get what has been coming to them for a very long time.

Write something along the lines of "We are sorry, but due to administrative issues at our current processor, Paymonde, your access has been denied. Please CLICK HERE to cancel your membership, and please re-join HERE with our current processor. We are sorry for any inconvenience." Maybe offer them a special price to rejoin through your other processor. I understand you are probably mad as hell, but I would not let your emotions take over if you are trying to get them to cancel and join with another processor. Try be professional about it, as hard as it may be. If you cut down Paymonde, you will probably hurt yourself more than Paymonde. Also, you don't want the member to become too suspicious or he might not join with your new processor. We've been through this several times with several processors and it ain't fun watching several thousand dollar wires and checks suddenly disappear. I feel for the Paymonde webmasters....I've had that sick feeling in my stomach many times before. ![]() |

Many surfers don't know what "processor" means. It would be better to use something easier to understand like "billing company" or "credit card processing service"
