I haven't seen Will say anything about trying to get people to join ifriends. I see where you're coming from, and I think that if Ifriends is found to be doing the same thing AFF is doing, Will should drop them and start promoting someone else as a matter of principle. However, I dont think its fair to just assume that he's speaking out against AFF to lure people to join ifriends.

Let's be honest, AFF is the sponsor of choice for all types of shady sites on the internet. I've personally seen their ads on warez sites, torrent sites, password trading sites, etc. It shouldnt be surprising to anyone that they would also be into adware popups.

If I recall correctly, Will was making posts about ZANGO until he noticed that AFF and Sexsearch were the two most common sponsors he was seeing pop up. Then, and only then, were any sponsors singled out.

I posted that as a USER pissed off about spyware on one of my PC's at my office. I later wipped the harddrive and reformatted. The popups would come at random times to random shit, mostly mainstream. I was looking at if from the stand point of a computer user not a webmaster. I even said in that thread, I don't understand how people make money from these popups when they piss so many people off.

Fast forward to October 2006. I get zango on my PC. People don't realize it is poping up. They click My link and the zango page comes up, most people think that is what they were clicking for. Most people users don't even know it is happening. I see this happening on my URLS, now I start thinking as webmaster who now understand how this is not good for my business. I start posting here.

We are loosing are best customers if zango gets to them first.

With the continued growth of torrent sites, p2p networks, and the likes of Zango where will our industry be in a few years?

I think if Will took the time to improve his business instead of posting on GFY and researching Zango he would make more money. So the only reason I am left with is Will doesn't want to have people steal his hard earned traffic, and is willing to complain (and in some peoples opinion make an ass out of himself) in order to keep making money in this industry while still having morals and honesty.

The real sheep are the ones who let people steal from them and then laugh in their face.

When I found about this the first person I went to was my sponsor, clickcash and discussed this with them. Then i came here to educate everyone else.

I just can not get over someone taking traffic from us and causing us to lose income and try to justify it. Lars has used every excuse in the book.

- Sex Search made me do it.
- It's just a pop up.
- It is legal.
- It is only a small amount of traffic.
- It's too expensive to sue and protect our trademark.

I can name 20 more he has said and point out the threads.

So when all of that fails he starts attacking my reason for posting.

I would never steal from people here. I work hard for my money and I earn it. I go to bed a night with a clear conscious. I am not going to take from you to try to get myself further ahead. But apparently that value is not important to some people. I guess 100 million isn't enough they need 110 million at the cost of taking 10million straight up from other affiliates here.

I see where you're coming from, and I think that if Ifriends is found to be doing the same thing AFF is doing, Will should drop them and start promoting someone else as a matter of principle. However, I dont think its fair to just assume that he's speaking out against AFF to lure people to join ifriends. Let's be honest, AFF is the sponsor of choice for all types of shady sites on the internet. I've personally seen their ads on warez sites, torrent sites, password trading sites, etc. It shouldnt be surprising to anyone that they would also be into adware popups. If I recall correctly, Will was making posts about ZANGO until he noticed that AFF and Sexsearch were the two most common sponsors he was seeing pop up. Then, and only then, were any sponsors singled out.
