My company isnt that new, but I am...can anyone throw me a friggin bone?!
Hey guys, I've just recently begun working for MajorPay.com which has been around for a little less than 2 years now. I've been in the online marketing business for about 5 years. This is my first time working with any online adult business and this my first time working with an affiliate program. If anyone can offer me any assistance or advice on how to come up in this business it would extremely helpful. I wanna try and impress the guys that actually had the balls to give me this job, lol.

I'm guessing your an affiliate manager, as long as you aren't just a forum whore hired to post pics of her tits you should do fine as long as you are able to help affiliates with questions. If you can't help them, you better be hot

No offense toward you, but I don't think it takes balls to hire someone that has no idea what the hell they're doing for the most public role in a company, I think it takes stupidity.

I wouldnt even no where to start posting pictures of myself, lol...the only pictures of me are on AdultWhosWho.
I dont think that I will have much of a problem being helpful and keeping the affiliates happy, I just need to get the affiliates first. |

How recent of an employee are you? seems very weird that an established company would turn a new hire loose on a public message board with out some training. Granted message boards definately play a role in staying current on industry trends...
In the event your bosses haven't shown you the following.. spend a few hours familiarizing yourself with the basics of the industry. http://www.cozyacademy.com/ http://www.xbiz.com/ http://www.klixxx.com/ http://www.ynot.com/ a friendly bit of advice ... then start reading the message boards ...and only post in non biz related threads ... with friendly / funny but unoffensive commentary where you can't tarnish the company reputation ... until you have some time and knowledge under your belt to where you can actually make an intelligent contribution. |

Hey BrettJ, thanks so much for the bit of advice. I think the company here is taking the 'fresh meat' approach with me. They have had a couple of affiliate managers that werent very people-friendly I think...so, they are trying a different approach now. They have directed me to a couple of those sites you recommended and there is definately a wealth of information there. I think Im just looking to just make some friends here on the board for now and perhaps later I'll start involving myself a bit more into the business side of things. Everyone here has been extremely helpful...so thanks to all of you.

You could start by getting some decent affiliate content, and not the screen caps anymore. I might promote ya's again if you did.

Cool...thanks Fluid. I'll start working on that. I'll be honest though...seeing as how Im pretty new to this whole thing, it may take me some time to determine what 'decent' affiliate content is. This may be a really dumb question, but can you tell me how to find some good affiliate content...and what screen caps do I have that I shouldn't have?

Hey jgabra62 welcome to the board.
I can relate to what you're saying. Hit me up, we'll see if we can do some business. Do you have ICQ yet?
