While I was in NYC this week I decided to take some pictures. What a fantastic city.

My plan was to go to TImes Square late at night for some cool timed exposures but just as I was getting things right the NYPD came over and told me you need a permit to use a tripod in the city. I of course picked up my tripod and went to the hotel (can't do timed exposures without the tripod).

Turns out the permit is free and I could have faxed it in for approval the day before shooting. Oh well next time I am getting the permit

Here is what I managed to get before they stopped me.

And yet the rabble rousers will still come and tell us that other nations hate the US because of how free they are. But try to use a tripod to take a picture outside....

Nice pics! I was forbidden to use tripod in St.Petersburg at white night from cathedral. The security wanted to through the camera away.

Nice pics. I fucking love that city man! Lived in it for 2 months a few years back when I was trying to decide where I wanted to move to before settling on London.

One bonus of London, we can fly there for 200 quid!
